My opinion will certainly not matter, however I think this wedding had everything wrong going with it. I am rather conservative when relationships/marriages matter. The woman is divorced. First thing. Also, her family is more than dubious. She got a free ride into the Anglican Church by marrying Harry. The new old divorced bride... and then she wore the white gown with a train and full veil as if she was a 14 year old virgin??? Give me a break! CHEATS. Markle seems to me more a gold digger type than anything else. Of course... she smiled. This already... divorced woman... is now a Duchess of sorts with a royal title, and part of the most sought after royal family. She earned a grand royal wedding along with all the advantages going with it. I am wondering if she will be able to cope with the disadvantages. She will be framed 24/24. Goodbye freedom. She has probably been micro chipped so she can't escape. This marriage is plain wrong. There are many nice, educated, well-to-do young women in Europe that could have made a legit Princess and a good mother to his children. Duke and Duchess of Sussex... Earl of Dumbarton and Baroness Kilkeel...  othing can ever compare to Diana, she was a legend. |

I am very convinced that with Harry being a well-known rebel, (nazi gear for Halloween and questionable parties in Vegas) he intentionally chose her because he could get under the skin of dad (with a douche bag wife) and unfortunately didn't give a hoot about his grandparents. I don't think he is Charles' son anyway so genetically, not sound. He will never forget that it took over an hour to get Lady Di outta the tunnel. He was only 12 but believe me, he's done the research. You are right on all points. They did say Ms. Markel on the invite, denoting a prior marriage. Nice her "girlfriend" Gail King could commentate and hang together afterwards. Meghan best pop out a youngun' soon and try to stay calm. Or get on some meds to calm down like Charlie probably did. Yes, chipped for sure. What's with the nose? Did she have surgery that went wrong. It's her mom's nose, but her's is a bit hooked. I bet it will change soon. But the baby first. Quick!! Give the poor citizens of England something to hang onto. They spend over 300 million a year to keep the lifestyle of the monarch. They need the entertainment of a wedding or a baby or a new shot glass on a continuous basis. That and their hot beer. So glad all those hordes remained safe today from any devious drivers. At least the cleanup crews have all day tomorrow to sweep.. Promoting her as an American princess but our favorite will be Grace, forever. |

My beef with the black reverend's speech was the overuse and emphasis on the word "bomb", honestly. And power too, but he was making a point about love and transformation. For sure, that style is a huge departure though I loved the fire analogy (until he asked whether people had travelled by car...), I thought it was too long and too campy, quite frankly. Most of what he said you can see is aimed at educating people whose daily lives may not allow a lot of reflection so he really delves, really repeats, connects dots for the working people etc. I think a person who sermonizes this way has the most fun listening to it. I was amazed he didn't read off of anything and that it came from within, but the excitement may have given his flight a lot of wind. He was lovely, quirky, but longbreathed I thought.

I think those political labels are paradoxical when you consider that she gave up her career to become "the wife of...", as a journalist back home pointed out. Sometimes I think young women take up some causes they think are fashionable and on the surface appear to give men a challenge, but ultimately, when opting for a mate, they pass on the male equivalent of that. I laugh when some enthusiastic royal commenters on TV speak of something truly revolutionary. The bottom line is that they won't give up the trappings of royalty to become activists, let's not kid ourselves. For now however, it's just nice not to knock their belief in doing something special. So long as good comes out of however they want to present themselves to the world, and that it does translate to positive change. They don't need to know they're not original. I'm sure the effects will be felt in their children, as these things take time. All that aside, they don't deserve the harshness. I'm sure her dad knows how to pick up a phone. Me, I have this vision of PotC's Calypso and the pirate dude (played by Nighy)'s love story playing as dramatic backdrop for zany future prediction (minus the facial tentacles).
