Since the only thing WC is focused on is to be known as the Princess of Fashion, I think it would be fair to have a thread about her real fashion sense, one that she had before she was assigned a group of stylist to dress her in Armani clothing, and one she had before Albert's money. If it was not for that she would have been know as the "Princess of cheap and vulgar" (her true nature).
There is nothing more that pisses WC off then to see her pre-Albert pictures. She doesn't care about people talking of her lack of intelligence, formal education, personality or charisma. That was never important to her and was never important to Albert. She was always one of those girls never known for their beauty or personality, but was secretly and desperately seeking to be one. After years and years of frustration and being in the "second row" (even in her glory/swimming days she was always in the background lurking behind a group of IN girls/swimmers), finally she got to be in the first plan as THE girlfriend/fiancee of THE BOSS. After years of frustration she finally has the money to purchase "beauty and style" she never had. There is nothing worse or more humiliating for WC but to be reminded of who she was (and still is) behind all those plastic surgeries and designer clothing. She is ready to live in a loveless marriage/business arrangement, just for the chance to be beautified, dressed by designers and pictured in magazines.
Unfortunately for her she will never be a fashion icon, because anyone who can afforded expansive designer clothing could look like her. There is no mystery nor talent in it. Also, the "Princess of Fashion" title is already taken by Kate, the future Queen of England. That is the girl who has been buying and choosing her own clothing from the day one...and still does. Kate is the girl who can wear an inexpensive dress and look like a million dollars. She doesn't need some famous Italian or French designer to plan and prepare clothing for her. She already has her own style which is effortless and recognized by women all over the world! Charlene who?
The Palace is desperately trying to erase pre-Fatbert's Charlene and replace it with the new, fabricated Charlene. Lets post all pre-Fatbert's Pictures of WC so to remained everyone of who she really was/is.

You summed up Charlene's aspirations and goals perfectly! Really, you have no idea just how much. This is what she blabs and boasts about on the message board - being elegantly and best dressed - the Princess of Fashion (which her friends on her Facebook account coined the term to promote her as) Unfortunately, my older files are on another computer which I don't have access now while I am doing field research. But, I still have some on my photo accounts that I will start populating. I'll start with her first days in Monaco as "the girlfriend" during the Grand Prix 2006 week. I'll go and find them - some 2006 photos. "Princess of cheap and vulgar" (her true nature)Her first very public appearance at Turin, 10 Feb 2006 - better photo of the outfit under the coat  Grand Prix in Monaco May 2006     She wore this outfit on Saturday during the day of the Red Cross Ball, August 2006 ...  ...and also the next afternoon while going to the airport - no wonder she is smelling herself  ..she really loved that top, 27 August 2006

And on the above pics, the ones in the green dress and the swimwear one: look at her waist - or practically the lack of waist- and look at the pic I posted from the cover of last week's PM magazine. the very first picture i saw of trashlene was before Turin. albert was getting off a big sailboat with a group of people, at the time i thought it was all men, big argument on the old royal blue (long closed) if it was a man or woman. it was HER dressed in white fedora and man type white suit, very butch/tranny OMG i've looked and looked those photos have totally disappeared but i remember them very clearly. if anyone is going over photos, look for the white fedora in the crowd and check them out. thank you!

Let me clarify...by pre-Albert fashion I didn't mean only before she became Albert's official companion/escort, I also meant the period when she was already his "friend", "official companion" and "escort" but before the Palace and Albert thought of her as anything more then booty call and arm candy for Albert. The period of time before the Palace and Albert decided that is time to dress her up and hire a professional team of stylists. The period of time when she was only getting cash from Albert, the period when Palace used to write her a check every month for her services to Albert and Monaco.  During that time she was taking cash and buying her own clothing with the help of a couple of friends and low class designers aka. guy from SA and that transvestite (what was her name) designer. |

Yes, and there were some photos of her on a yacht with him. She had on some real long frumpy looking dress and photogs took pix of them walking off the boat. Might have been his birthday after the Turin Games....was that the Maldives vacation?

you're right axelle there are some photos like that, but the ones i'm talking about> trashlene is dressed like a man, looks like man, man's suit, man's hat, i really thought it was a man, until later when i realized the face was the same. oohhh i wish i could find them, i'm pretty sure it was a tabloid not a newservice because i've looked through most of those  |

Since the engagement, she has done better with clothes, but why she wants to be called 'princess of fashion' is a mystery to me because she has never seemed to have much interest at all in clothes or how to use clothes to make herself more attractive. Those photos of her in backless dresses and you can see her nude back? I hope someone has told her that this is not a good look. From the back, she looks like a man (I apologize for being rude). I always understood that you showed skin only on the attractive parts of your body and covered up the rest. You want to entice the man, not repulse him. You don't expose areas simply because you were too lazy to find a dress that would fit properly over these troublesome areas. When you see Charlene like this, it adds fuel to the idea that Albert is gay. Also, Grimnir, you are right. On average, photos of Charlene show her either unhappy or giving an arrogant smirk at everyone. You would think that she would want to seek happiness even if it meant leaving Albert, but most people like this only want to spread their unhappiness with everyone. An off-topic bit: I saw this article about the schedule for Will and Kate's wedding. Note this line: "Foreign royals start to file into the venue. These include Prince Felipe of Spain and his stunning wife Princess Letizia, the Sultan of Oman, the fabulously wealthy Sultan of Brunei, Prince Albert of Monaco with his South African-born fiancee Charlene Wittstock, and Sheikha Mozah of Qatar." Ouch, that hurt. If I recall she spent most of the time alone looking for Albert who apparently was ignoring her that day. It was one of the better outfits she had worn in the "early" years of her Monaco stay. |

Or maybe she read the tabloids and royal magazines and noticed that the only thing they ever talk about is clothes and so princess fashion was born? Fame and fashion is the only thing worth having these days. Sex tapes are cool and showing off your lack of underwear is a premeditated action to revive your career these days. Look at all the sugar forums: looks are the only things that matter. BTW, what bugged me most in this picture is the hair, she would win a competition with Maxima easily. By now, it wouldn't surprise me if Albert slept with anything that had a heartbeat. The guy is on a self-destruct downward spiral IMO and has so many mental issues and hangups that it surprises me he manages to play the more or less normally functioning human being role without slipping up. I never got the idea that it matttered to him what his official escort-now-fiancée looked like. Protocol doesn't seem to matter and if she turned up wearing an old potato sack he might not even notice. As long as someone else had payed for it... |

Grimnir, thank you for raising this question because everyone just assumed it was Charlene because the media told us it was (the photo caption even stated it). When I came across these photos again I strongly believe that that THIS IS NOT CHARLENE with Albert! Look at her eyes, the length of her hair (in Maldives in mid March Charlene had cut her hair in a shorter style) and especially look at her nose from the front and the side. So, just two weeks after their BIG MEDIA sensation lovers' pre-honeymoon, Albert was with another woman. This explains Michael Wittstock's comments to Bunte in response to Albert acknowledging Jazmin - that Charlene is only concentrating on being the only woman in his life. Do all of you understand how desperate I mean really DESPERATE this woman is? Charlene has and will do ANYTHING to keep what she has claimed because she has NOT ONE SHRED OF HUMAN DIGNITY NOR SELF RESPECT FOR HERSELF! She wanted to be Princess Charlene of Monaco since June of 2001 (as she stated in her Tatler interview was her destiny) - so she got it by any and all means necessary.   |

THIS IS NOT CHARLENE. 1000%  Wait: Turin and the "perfect place for lovers" (CW) statement was when? It was in spring 2006, wasn't it??? Hej, great work!!! We must have been blind! THATS A LITTLE SENSATION. These pisc should find their way to the newspapers. They are hungry for sensations and changed the 100% positive coverage. They need substance. So when this comes out it could .... turn the sails. There are already titles like "How true is this love?" "Will the Monaco wedding be called of in the last second" "Do people who are in love look like that?!" But all they have are pictures of a sad and icy-arrogant CW. A title like "Who is this woman" might bring in some substance... Even though it is some years ago but it was around Turin and -most interesting- during the first butterfly weeks of the two "lovebirds". A title like that might even save CW.... |
