hmmm, an unemployed soccer player, with practically no market value, represented by his father...at least he has plenty of time for her. Other then that it seems like she is more into looks then brains, when it comes to choice of men. Pretty much like her mom. Let's hope he isn't trying to use her to get his name out there through her for lack of talent... sure his dad is very happy about this connection, seeing that he doesn't have a lot of value in his stables, but now has direct access to ASM brass...

It's nice to be young. I'm just not sure about kissing a guy who's busy smoking. The body language however shows he's protective. He has a good grip on her shoulder in the first one, and is leaning in for the kiss in the third. (But the nails I think show he's a nervous guy.) The middle picture I'm distracted looking at how much better Stephanie's skin is. I know I'm fixated lately, but it's such a relief to see her traits relaxed. As per his prospects, let's see. I don't think Pauline's racing to the altar. She's still so young. Lots of time! |

well, she is surrounded by smokers and probably smoking herself, so, to her that would be normal. I suspect the only ones not smoking in the family are Alex and Camille, due to their age and Albert. Everyon else smokes. Donatella and Caro smoked during pregnancy too. I saw pics and read a statement of Donatella boasting about drinking champagne and smoking during pregnancy and Caro has been seen smoking and pregnant at outing where alcohol was served. Steph only smokes. Never seen her drink anything but Perrier on her Thursday nights at Sammies or Jimmyz. So in that respect she doesn't have any role models for being critical about smoking. And yes, his fingernails show that he has issues. Life experience would nowadays put me on my guard, but they are young and probably not planning a future. I just think that it would be terrible for her if she would have to find out that he is trying to benefit from her. I have met her on several occasions and seen how she eyes people, trying to figure out if they are genuine or fake. She is very careful it seems, but when you're in love, you lose your guard. Especially when you are young. I'm just worried that, if she falls for the type of guys her mom has fallen for, and there are indications that she does, that she, other then her mother, would find it harder in the future to trust people. Sometimes I wonder if Steph wouldn't have better remained in Auron to raise her children, away from those who tried to benefit of a connection to her and them.

Well thank God the nuclear family of the 50s has exploded and you now have single mothers getting on quite well and succeeding in the world without the stigma and overarching theme of a relationship to a man specifically.  Guys, this is the 21st century. Women are not defined by their mates. (Except where Charlotte is concerned  ) Some women are the frontrunners in their relationships. |

I like to think Stephanie is the continuum of Grace's tangent for independence that got thwarted when she chose not to lose Albert and returned to Monaco. In an alternate reality, Stephanie instead got to exercise her freedom and keep her kids - like the best of all worlds as set out by Grace. Like an American girl. No? and be a good mom at that, like her mom before. I'm going to cry now  |

I thought maybe Pauline Ducruet would be smart enough to get away from the Grimaldi scene and go into something like engineering, veterinary or medical school or chef school maybe. It's Caroline's bad choice in men. Stephanie too seems to make the wrong choices. I have a couple of friends who wanted kids and had no significant other, and went to a sperm bank and now have beautiful children and no man in their lives. They are doing quite well, so I was referring to making numerous poor choices or the need to have a man in the house. |
