As Paca mentioned, there will be a babysitting servies on the day of the civil wedding for those citizens and residents attending their respected receptions. The nursery registration will give them somewhat of an early indication of what the turnout will be for these receptions. From the Monaco Telecom:
Royal wedding: Last days for registration to the nursery June 8, 2011
At the wedding of Monaco, a host nursery for children from 2 months to 3 years old, is implemented by the City Council on Friday 1 July 2011 16 am to 21 pm at the nursery of Monaco City, 3 rue Philibert Florence.
Registration is done at Point Nursery until June 10 deadline.
A file, consisting of an information sheet, a medical certificate to the community and approval of drug administration, should be completed by parents and returned no later than Monday, June 27 Parents whose children are already attending a municipal kindergarten have to provide any documents and simply need to register with the Point Nursery.

Wow you are right there in the middle of it! LOL unfortunately yes as especially the Jarre thing will be incredibly noisy. We get several fireworks per week in summer, so I can really do without bombs on Bagdad... sometimes they have them so late that you are just about to fall asleep when you are suddenly exposed to another bombing. cityhall receives many complaints each year from people living down at Larvotto, but the noise up here is worse as it gets reflected by the buildings. My kids used to wake up terrified...Monaco has over the years really taught me to dislike fireworks. I am really looking forward to moving into a much quieter country...

LOL God forbid a crying baby disturbs the holy ceremony. When you invite 4,000 people, you're going to get babies. I wouldn't leave my kid in a nursery to attend this wedding. I'd just as soon stay home and out of the crowd. JMO

It is not for the day of the religious ceremony where 4000 people are invited. So, I am assuming the babysitting is so that the citizens and residents can attend their respected receptions.

Friday is Monegasques only on the palace court. They only want to make sure that there are enough people to great them when they go to the window. they can watch on big screen. I wonder whether people will be going as I heard that a lot said that they felt like being treated second rate.

LOL Yes indeed because the most important part of a business arrangement is to make it legal! The second part is for entertainment value. Thus for a reality TV wedding, crying kids are perfect! As paca pointed out pity the poor tired 3yr olds!

well, there is a VIP wedding today in MC. Sounds like this one is already attracting more names then the porky and trash wedding. I wonder whether trashy will stand there trying to highjack some of the guests www.monacomatin.mc/node/549892

Monaco does not attract high end intellectuals. It's either sports or showbiz.

well, to some they are still Drogba, Abramovich and Youssou n 'dour ring more bells with some people around here then some on trashlenes guest list but you are right Monaco does not attract intellectuals anymore, but it has not done so since Albert I. Rainier only cultivated the showbiz and not the cultural people. There is no cultural infrastructure in monaco to appeal to people with a certain education.

I was going to say... The mega VVVIPs are in St Moritz this weekend for the Bilderberg conference. The world's richest and most powerful are at the Kempinski in St Moritz, not in Monaco. The Bilderberg are thought to be the "shadow world government". The conference is very secretive. Nothing filters out of this conference. Three royals are attending. Queen Sofia of Spain, the Queen of Holland and Prince Haakon of Norway. They are there more as observants than true players. How strange that Prince Albert was never invited, neither what's his name Hannover.... neither was Prince Rainier. This is how important Monaco is to world affairs. Zero! www.lematin.ch/actu/suisse/bilderberg-club-secret-414166

they just have to feed us every day...will we get reporting from their first night as well? I think that is the only thing that we haven't been told about... I guess we won't be seeing a white sheet with a red stain greeting us from the balcony the next morning... pîtty as that would just round things off for the new even trashier image of Monaco. btw got to talk to various tourists today on my way to Nice and they all hated or at least disliked Monaco. Some elderly American tourists were taking the mickey out of the wedding...they were much more excited about their stay in Provence and of course going to Paris. Monaco is only worth a quick look as it does not have anything to offer. www.monacomatin.mc/article/monaco/le-decor-du-diner-prend-forme

The truly are desperate to drum up excitement or even interest in their supposedly wedding of the century. I hope the Monegasques demand information about the cost of all this. The decor of the dinner takes shapeSunday, June 12, 2011
The Salle Garnier started its dramatic transformation to make the prestigious setting of the royal wedding. July 2, from 21 h 30 golds Opera de Monte Carlo will shine a new light on the couple that form the Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene.
Five hundred guests at the official dinner concocted by the chef Alain Ducasse, will be received between sky and sea, between the terraces of the Opera Garnier and the room. An idyllic setting that requires major work, launched by the League of sea bathing (SBM), a week ago. "It's a theater, facing the Mediterranean, as the king had desired" , says Bernard Lambert, CEO of SBM.
Outside, the yard - not least - began yesterday. For if the dinner is held well in the open, it is in the intimacy of the room trim secular Garnier will be launched as the first dance and the party in full swing. The terraces will increase in height to install the guests closer to the entrance to the auditorium. The space will be erected where the dinner tables of the princely will, therefore, raised more than seven feet, to reach the balcony.
The vagaries of the weather? Bernard Lambert prefers a sweeping streak of humor. "It does not rain on July 2! But the worst case scenario was considered. Everything is planned to house guests. "
After the meal, guests can continue the evening in the heart of the opera.
Vast ballroom Again, adjustments were made. To make way, the theater seats were removed one by one, carefully packed in individual cartons and stored in a reserve.
The floor and the vents were protected before installing a raised floor between the stage and the railing - behind the orchestra. Pass through the ventilation grilles on the side of the floor, once it is installed. The Salle Garnier will have the look of the club lounge. Ballroom or modern.
The scene changed into a huge dance floor, will face a landscaped area including The chairs, bar and buffet extra. Expected completion June 26 At least one week of the historic union. Then the designers will bring their touch to the reception venue, most likely led by Francoise Dumas, artistic coordinator of the Rose Ball. Before giving way to rehearsals of the service, "set like a ballet, two hundred teachers, waiters and sommeliers. Improvisation is well and truly kicked out of this exceptional event.

will we get reporting from their first night as well? Their first night? A "catholic" principality? They are not going to make us believe that Charlene is a virgin and they never slept together? Will they? ;D As for the temporary transformation of the Opera House Charles Garnier must be rolling in his grave.
