This! A diamond that has been worn by four kings, four queens, two emperors and two empresses etc etc and named after Louis XIV's mentor Cardinal Mazarin after who it's named: Le Grand MazarinA 19 carat pink diamond. SIGH If I squint, it's almost my favourite blue.

Can we talk about this necklace? www.sothebys.com/en/videos/50-years-new-in-asia-the-algeiba-starMaybe it's because the colour of yellow diamonds reminds me of crystallized urine, however here it's the lopsidedness that's jarring. The pendant is fine, gorgeous, calibrated artistically but again, what's with the necklace? If it were meant to look as if it's suspended by one colourful strand - sure, but that's not the effect here. To me, I find the two-toned chain of diamonds design a bit of a shortcut. Why not have started yellow at the back, highlighted at the collarbone in white then if necessary slip back into a gradient scale to finish in yellow? Otherwise, I'd still love to visit Hong Kong for the sale to see these and other jewels. It looks like it's going to be quite an event. Sigh. And there's Tutti Frutti. Definitely not for a Caucasian woman but gorgeous:
