"Spare" is the title of Harry's upcoming book. To me it sounds like a plea for mercy, but I may be tainted by the neglect all around me. As in "spare me"!! I interpret it as a double-entendre. It's fairly vivid. By the way, Chelsey Davy had her baby, congratulations to her and her husband. Harry's photo, with a halo of light above, looks contrived. Everybody knows he hasn't been an angel, and some think he could be possessed. But going with the mercy angle, I sympathize more; he's a man "entre l'arbre et l'écorce" and whatever move he makes, it's freefall waiting. I think he needs a miracle. I wouldn't be exporting myself as a thought leader, sorry.
A hot mic moment caught on tape by the Netflix team. The DV stuff has crept up before but Harry is implied as the target of the violence. Either that or as in a certain consort's trips to India, it's to be taken with a grain of salt (or rim, with a slice of lime).
I leave it to Taz who's on 🔥 and hilarious, while I check out Lady C and the planted rumour of an impending divorce. I personally think they read the globe, people hate them and their PR response is to tease a "candy" then do an about-face.
"...the first half of the series will “focus on their love story and include allegations that the royal household briefed against them to members of the media.” The first episode is focused on the couple’s relationship while the second and third “move into more controversial territory,” The Times says. The series is expected to delve into allegations of racism and their troubles with the media,..."
'Welcome to any new viewers watching us after cancelling their Netflix...': Graham Norton makes savage quip about Meghan and Harry's docu-series and says they 'have ruined Charles and Camilla's Netflix and chill night'
Otherwise the last ten days in royal news is like being made to watch someone's wedding video three years later on loop and rebrushed, after changing even the storyline about how the couple met 🙄 You get the obligatory "the palace is bracing" for good measure otherwise the faked footage of paparazzi basically set the tone for whatever might come next. 🥱
Grow up. Seriously. It wasn't worth getting at 98% of British who want their titles stripped.
I'm going to surmise, since the first state dinner menu featured French rather than an equally undecipherable language like Welsh or Gaelic for guests (yet maybe more à propos),that people will enjoy the exercise 😄.
I echo this sentiment:
Personnellement, je ne regarderai ni le tome 1 ni le tome 2 du « Lavage de linge sale en public » de ces deux pleurnichards bling-bling, ces braillards narcissiques, ces chialeurs professionnels, ces plaignards millionnaires : je m’en fous royalement. J’aime mieux subir un traitement de canal sans anesthésie que d’écouter ces victimes de la Couronne se plaindre la bouche pleine.
Enjoy that festive bouquet and skip to 21:30 for a breakdown of the 67 lies so far in Megflix. The first part does however highlight the use of the house of a scammer of veterans. Dear Invictus 🤦🏻♀️
The real royal watchers are doing a great job covering the duo. Here's Taz. I wish I could go back and post YouTuber River in stole and sparkly tiara, and Lady C has posted part 2 of the 67+ lies so far. And the Body Language guy too but everyone is kind of sick of these two.
He should be so lucky, but no, Liz Hurley nixes the rumour in the bud. That's the problem with Harry's "truths", is that they're so vague. But you'd think he'd empathize with his father on this one - at 15, a year difference is an "older" woman. Personally, one Brit was it for me thanks to him disclosing after two months that he still considered himself as seeing some NYC entertainment lawyer - very a la Bridget Jones, actually, minus the washroom scene. He went on to write his best album, threw in a torch song or two and slept through the UK. But I digress. Liz Hurley is a bit of the heiress to Joan Collins on some level. Actually if he lost his virginity to Collins, there might be something sexy in that. But sexy he's not. Nor his wife. Sorry. I'm snowed in after almost 5 days of Omicron self-isolating and am babbling.
(Lest this come off anti-Brit, my best FB male pal is a lovely and married Brit who psyched the universe for me to get my Husky mix dog. He's funny and a great human being.)
This is an interesting development. Rishi Sunak proposing a law to give Ofcom broader powers to fine streaming services. I posed the question to the WTO in the last year, about a code of ethics for multinationals to prevent disruptions at the national level, like with foreign-owned media corporations stoking civil unrest in other countries.
US journalists growing tired of narcissists. Really? Just now? 😄
But somewhere between the fifth and sixth hour of “Harry and Meghan,” the new Netflix documentary series produced by the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex and filmed at their California mansion — which suggests that there is no one more in love, no one more socially conscious, no one more aggrieved — my natural sympathy for the couple started turning to irritation, and it occurred to me that ego has its limits. And it struck me that the overreach that led to the Sussexes’ critically panned mega-series is the same impulse that turned Elon Musk into a terror on Twitter, that prompted Ye to up the ante of outrageous behavior until he crossed the line into blatant antisemitism, that sent Bankman-Fried from the top of the world to a Bahamian jail.
the Duke and Duchess said: “This was inspired by Nelson Mandela, who once said ‘what counts in life is not the mere facts that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead’.”
It's funny how that works out for some people. I would tend to disagree right now. Here however, Mandela's family is protesting the gratuitous appropriation. There, I agree.
Ah the leaks 🤦🏻♀️ Firstly, it's uncanny how he casts himself as the anti-hothead who almost politely asks his brother to "get out" post-scuffle. It's cinematic in its staging. It's as believable as Kate making MM cry. He's blurting anything out at this point so either he's not keeping any leverage for future demands and he's having a fire sale, or as he itemizes every one of his controversies with a ludicrous counterpoint - "they MADE me wear a Nazi uniform"!?! - it's a MM-produced hack job. Or it's a bit of both.
