i suppose this is miscellaneous, but hard hitting about the obsession with royalty. Quote from article: After Vancouver photographer Dina Goldstein saw her daughter become princess-obsessed, and then watched her mom be diagnosed with cancer, she got the idea to explore what might happen after the happy ending. Priceless! Alas, 'twas not me! Not me either -- but I have to say it certainly does,in so many words, reflects some of the observations that posters here have speculated on for years. Interestingly enough I read a recent article (can't recall where) that Albert was partying down the road without his wife recently. If I recall, years ago, we did see photos published with Albert and some very very young girls on a boat in a somewhat compromising position. I wonder if anyone saved those photos? JMO i could have never written something so good. thanks for finding this, bellabunny...

Shame on them all!!! This is what Charlene has wanted all along to be side by side with Grace. Shame on Albert especially. They will not get anyone to attend this with Charlene going solo in the US. No one cares. Albert can't be bothered any more to show up. I have to look at the NYC social calendar and see what else is on for that day. At this point they would be better off hosting a luncheon in the Hamptons during summer to draw in the money crowd who will be there any way. There has been absolutely no press on this event at all. Its very sad because there is a lot of young talent out there that needs support and that is why Grace wanted this foundation. Monaco really has gone to hell in a hand-basket. JMO Amen! if he does not show up, it's going to prove that he is being brainwashed to diss america and show allegiance to the russe. they seem to be a priority.

Hope i'm not in the wrong category. Maybe i am imagining things, but i don't see much interest in US events with Princess Graces' grandchildren. well, Pierre likes to party in NYC but had a bad incident! They are part American but seem to not really schedule thing in the US. Maybe not invited?

May be the jewels were a gift to Grace and she didn't like them nor did Caroline. I also think they are "on loan" to Charlene and not gifts she gets to keep. The earrings are pretty huge and don't look like something Graced would wear except to one of her themed costume balls. i think these pieces were supplied by the RL team to be commensurate with the jewelry that RL's wife was wearing. i believe it's BS from the PR team about being from the Palais. let them prove it.

yes, maybe a free-bee. but it's not really posing. no flare, personality or gesture. a bit stiff unfortunately. just a simple angling of the shoulders would help. lighten up, you could rock!

found on Riviera Radio: Police deny St Etienne claims - Monaco's police force has strongly denied claims that Saint-Etienne football fans had personal belongings taken from them during their visit to the principality last weekend. The allegation was made during the TV show Canal Football Club just hours after the encounter at the Stade Louis II on Saturday. Some fans claimed they had lost items after the routine police search of their coach. A police statement says the accusations are serious and the search was carried out correctly with witnesses present.

honestly, I don't think that Starbucks is cheap. The other day I was volunteering near a starbucks and a classy French restaurant/cafe. It was a bit chilly, my kids were with me and they were cold. They already had discovered the restaurant as a nice place to keep warm. So I asked them to check out prices for hot chocolate there and in Starbucks. The restaurant was slightly more expensive, but you get served at the table, have a nicer atmosphere and you get to drink from a real cup . NOt sure where they plan to have Starbucks in MC but my guess would be near Mc Do in Fontvielle. NOt the cruiseship tourist area. More the grocery shopping, work area. yes, paca, you are right. it's not much less. some of their fancy drinks are pretty steep (and high calorie)! will be interesting to see the site.

LOL especially since there are so many Italians around in MC. I don't think that it will be a great success with the locals who tend to like to sit down for their coffee and have a chat. Coffee to go is not their thing and I don't think that Starbucks will change that. I think they tried Italy, but couldn't convince people. These chains forget that there are people who like the human contact to those who serve them their coffee. There are some cultures that can't be convinced. In Italy Starbucks doesn't have a chance. They are way too expensive and not good enough. Starbucks knows as much about coffee as MC Donalds knows about good food.... do you know the location? i guess it's geared for the tourists and cruise ship passengers who are cheap and who will go to a familiar place especially if they think it's going to be a tiny bit less than the cafe de paris (maybe at first). yup, the place is going to the dogs.

No, not everyone in Monaco living in the ‘bubble’. Charlene has been given every opportunity... Of course, she can visit a school. And then everyone is instructed not to speak to her, but to a woman who is with her. Funny thing is that a young girl said something to her and that bodyguards panicked. A friend of mine said you had to see their eyes! The little girl spoke quickly to the woman... and not to Charlene. Why do they do that? Do you really think there is not talked about that??? Really Charlene and Albert are the downfall of Monaco. They are totally stupid! For many (me to) Grace & Rainier remain forever Monaco and Grace will always be an inspiration for generations. View AttachmentThat IS bad! my curiosity is getting the best of me. would love to know what the young girl said!!

These are comments from a French 'sugar' blog (there is also a journalist from PdV). This is the first time that there are so many negative comments! www.noblesseetroyautes.com/2013/10/albert-et-charlene-de-monaco-diner-a-moscou/comment-page-1/#comment-436378Google translation: CUT most mentioned: 'slut' At the same time if she had not worn this dress very suggestive, we would not be here discussing if she has underwear or not; 'ignorant botoxé brain!' Compare Charlene at a fashion show and Charlene at an official visit ... we see immediately what their preferences and priorities ... at the risk of repeating myself, and how to dress in such circumstances is an example, Charlene does not seem to "cut" for the "job" she dresses, most often wrong, sometimes displays an air of boredom, does not seem concerned by what surrounds it and most importantly, to pass on force the "pool" has lost its freshness ... personal opinion! So here is the cake! After leggings in New York, the Paris slippers, hair with a firecracker at the Bolshoi, here undressed for a formal dinner ... Help! Give us a REAL princess for Monaco! The photo was removed from the FB page of the palace! But the damage is done! Crap the communication department of the palace. -Yes, for sure. It makes you wonder if they have not done it on purpose! Here I must say that I do not understand anything about the attitude of the princess and especially that of her husband. How can Alvert let him wear garments, more suitable for a porn movie as an Eta visit? Grace must be turning in here grave! CUT Wondering what PdV will write? i just translated those comments! wow, they were really going at each other! very passionate feelings about this. no wonder the Palais took down the photo. but as i mentioned, Al LOVES her to look that way. remember, this is no "regular" marriage. (and neither was Rainier and Grace. he knew he had to marry someone to draw the rich.)unfortunately, no lady will ever come close to what Grace brought to the table! Trashy is bait as he was seducing the most wealthy in the world. he wants to portrait Monaco as a desirable bordello and laundry mat. he needs investors desperately! Monaco is in big trouble. and she on the other hand being a narcissist is more than happy to display herself. she thrives on attention. and think of the gifts she/he are getting. they are perfect business partners. like Bill and Hill.

there is something definitely funky going on with the knees. in the mid-photo above, there looks like red circles so maybe surgery. the one below shows a big difference in the caps. it's not really worth the research time but how can you miss it. www.stylebistro.com/lookbook/Charlene+Wittstock/Q0Zj2rqriBZ

Not many supporters over on the Sugah Board today -- this most recent incident is just unforgiveable and indefensible! However, one poster suggested that someone in the Palace knew exactly what they were doing and wanted to embarrass her since the photo was originally posted on the Principality's webpage. There is definitely some food for thought in that suggestion At last someone on the sugar board shows some sense. Still I am further amazed that the sugars didn't blame Arkis for supplying the dress or Albert the village idiot. JMO By the way in looking closer at the photo, is it me or does one of her knees look lower than the other? i found photos of her from an article in sept. 2012 and the knees (in the center shot) look much more even compared to the recent photo of her in the black dress. weird. why didn't they photo shop them a bit? it's glaring. www.bing.com/images/search?q=princess+charlene+red+dress&qs=n&form=QBIR&pq=princess+charlene+red+dress&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=#view=detail&id=A4EC83772006A2EB8603DAA6584F29677662D9CF&selectedIndex=216
