IMO this dress is one of her wedding dress rejects. She loved it so much, (because she looks like a beautiful swan in it, except that her transformation from an ugly duckling wasn't a result of a natural process ), that she wanted to wear it for her wedding but was told it is too shiny, thigh and reveling. So, this was the perfect occasion to wear it to. How many times she wore a wedding dress so far? Four or five?

Also, a few reporters compared Catherine's gown to Grace's; very elegant, regal and timeless. None of them even remembered to say something like; BTW, Grace's son P. Albert will be getting married in 30 days...not even a word about him or his future bride. ;D

I was watching one of the entertainment shows about the wedding and just before the break the reporter said that there is another royal wedding coming very soon. I was thinking "darn, WC managed to hijack Will and Kate's wedding day after all!". After the break, when the reporter start talking about Zara's upcoming wedding, I couldn't help but burst into a laughter! Not a one word about the two phonies from Monaco! ;D

The British Royal wedding was the wedding of two people in love, truly committed to each other and with deep sense of duty and responsibility. It is a state affair, but they managed to make it feel like a family affair as well...witch it should be in the first place. it was important for Cathrine and William to make it their own day...their wedding day...and it was as grand as it could be but as well a family affair as it should be. This wedding was definitely not about media attention, not about Hollywood circus, not about how many people will be watching around the world, not about tourists and definitely not about economical boost...it was all about Kate and Will. BRAVO!!!

One more thing...besides Cathrine (lovely Kate) the second most beautiful was stunning Letitia of Spain! Beauty, class and intelligence. Letitia and Cathrine are going to be the most beautiful European Princesses and future Queens.

I hope dumb Albert listened to the priest's sermon about a true meaning of marriage and importance of love, commitment, respect...I hope it made him feel uncomfortable since there is none of this in his heart for his future wife...and vice versa.

The whole wedding ceremony was just PERFECT! I even shed a few tears when I saw them standing in front of the alter and William looked at his Kate with total adoration. Cathrine and William looked gorgeous, regal and very much in love. They looked amazing together on the balcony...and THE KISS...what can I say...absolutely breathtaking! He is sooo handsome and she is sooo beautiful. There is a good energy and true kindness that radiate from within them. Lovely, lovely couple! I wish them the best!!!

Thanks Axelle! This hat looks absolutely stupid. It looks like one of those cheap hats that white trash would wear to a beach.

Once this street fair wedding is over in July, it will only be minutes before men all over the world start telling their I-knew-Charlene-when stories for money, of course. (Question: has Albert hired attorneys yet to sue all the magazines and newspapers that will run these stories, claiming that they are lies? It will probably require several firms to handle all the work.) And Monaco will never be able to escape Princess Charlene, even if she is banned from the country within a month of the wedding. Albert must really be stupid or have unmeasurable hatred for his parents, his sisters and his country to inflict the flagship Charlene on them. I think that is the karma that he deserves. He has been using and abusing girls/women all over the world for decades (manipulation, blackmailing, threats, rape, denial and abandonment of his own children...), and now he ended up with a woman who fooled him into marring her, the woman who used to be in a same position like women used by Albert, taking money from other men (older and married) just to survive during her "swimming" days in London. Isn't that Karma or what?

Thanks Mariebeth for posting the article! Countess, you hit all of my points. I read this article when it was first published and I was flabbergasted! Everything that Countess stated, I was going to note. This article was written in the travel section and I loved how the reporter, Katharina Bart, made the same conclusions that we did about this Albert and Charlene road show (which she actually called it). People with more than there brain cells can see Albert and Charlene's trashiness. Also, notice how Katharina put the word "tourists" in brackets after Monaco's spokesperson uses the word wedding guests. Albert and Charlene are really using the so-called invited wedding guests as tourists to make their wedding seem crowed. Watch - these people will not be true wedding guests, but space fillers throughout Monaco. If they are lucky, they might be given water for the heat. I am sure Tourist Bureau has made a deal with a big cruise liners to stop by Monaco on that day and unload their passengers to fill out the streets of Monaco. They will be given Monaco's little flags and be dropped off on different corners around the city. The sad part is that those "guests/tourists" will gladly do that just so they could tell their friends and relatives how they witnessed Monaco's "wedding of the year". It would not surprise me to see thousands of American retirees/tourists waving little flags with exhausted and confused looks on their faces. I bet they have all gotten a "nice" letter from the Palace in their mail box already.

Such a waste of money. it is no wonder that no designer wants to associate himself with WC. She makes every piece of clothing, no matter how expensive, look cheap and boring.

I am getting truly excited about Will and Kate's wedding. Even here in US there is no way that you could escape the royal wedding fever. For the last few weeks there have been something about Kate and Will's wedding every single day and since yesterday it seems like there are going to be around the clock updates until this Friday.
I am so happy for Kate and Will. They are absolutely lovely couple and is a trill to watch them in their pre-wedding bliss. Kate is just glowing! Since the engagement she has blossomed and you could see love and happiness radiating through every pore on her beautiful face. She is going to be such a wonderful role model on so many different levels. I watched how she conducted herself on her first few "official events/appearances" and she was flawless. And I mean not only physically, but the way she carried herself and was engaging in conversation with ordinary people as well as with some distinguished and accomplished people it was easy to see that this girl not only has the looks but she has the brains as well!

These two together look so dull that is painful to watch! No chemistry between them and neither one have an ounce of charisma. I am falling asleep just watching at their pictures. As for her fashion statments...big yawn! Her day time clothing is horrendous and so old fashion. She would have looked more interesting if she wore something like Khrushchev wife used to, then this awful ensemble. It is funny how she tries to look "conservative" when with "conservative Monegasques". So sad...

Since we have a number of posters from and around Monaco, I think we should have a thread where our posters can write about stories they heard while in Monaco and their personal experiences and observations. This includes not only locals but anyone traveling to Monaco for business or pleasure as well. Also we can post other stories we find about Monaco published by tourists, visitors and residents. Paca, I am still waiting for some juicy stories from you. Will you be singing at Albert and WC's wedding?

He looks like he's grabbing her tit in the photo on the right - and her expression looks like she's reacting with an unpleasant - ewwwww! I would say that Albert is pushing her arm away. Look at how his wrist is banded. He is not embracing her at all, but she is grabbing onto him. Weird!
