well, that is her main problem: wishful thinking. If she would have been realistic, she would have realized that she does not have what it takes to be a princess. Alas, she wished/thought otherwise. Her problem has been and remains her complete misunderstanding of her role. That is why we always said that she needed education. Her unwillingness or incapability to learn is in her way. If she does not want or can't change that, she needs to turn to a life where intelligence is not required. Btw. her days on oligarch yachts off the coast of Turkey are over for quite some time I guess...

so, apparently CW is realizing that a return to MC would not be good for her. Yeah, I guess we can all agree on that, but she is said to plan to take the kids with her and have Albert do the travelling to see them. Well, I guess that someone needs to give her a reality check. Not going to happen. No one cares where she lives, but the kids will stay in MC, unless ALbert decides otherwise. Besides she has yet to prove that she is stable enough to look after herself, let alone those lively kids. Also, I think that ALbert has made sufficient arrangements with his wider family for them to be thoroughly looked after. Plus those nannies. The kids have stability in MC, moving them away because their mother doesn't like it there, is against their interest. Especially as heirs. So, yeah move away, but get used to visitation. And in the kids interest don't be difficult about it. Besides I am sure that ALbert will allow as much visitation as you are capable off. Just not them being moved away. Maybe, when they are older and interested, they can go to boarding school somewhere and CW can move close by, but right now they are too young and have enough to chew on their plate. So do your thing and what is best for you to get better and in a condition to be a mother again, and leave those kids where they are. They seem happy enough. www.gala.de/royals/monaco/fuerstin-charl%C3%A8ne--plant-sie-ein-neues-leben-ausserhalb-von-monaco--22610144.html

he is not yet on anyones list for sanctions, but MC police have stopped this yacht from leaving. Maybe they know sth that the others don't know. In the article it is claimed precaution, but I think that MC knows very well who is doing what in their country. Maybe they just didn't have enough valid proof that would hold up in court, but under current circumstances... Then again decades aiding and abetting criminals for the benefit of the country does not warrant to completely ignore the rule of law because there is a good cause in the air. That would be undermining trust in the legal system. But given we are dealing with an oligarch, he surely speed dialed his lawyers to sort it for him.... www.monacomatin.mc/faits-de-societe/les-autorites-empechent-le-depart-du-megayacht-dun-oligarque-russe-du-port-de-monaco-750459

I think that Ukrainians are the undisputable victims here. And yes what other countries did was wrong, but that does not take away from Russias guilt. They committed war crimes from day one, the invasion itself being a war crime. I do see the hypocrisy and at leastIsrael is honest and true to itself as it does not apply sanctions. Personally I regret the way the EU reacts to Ukraine and Syria. We have to admit that racism is at pla<, especially in the eastern EU states. For years they have refused to allow Afghan or syrian refugees in and even now the non white residents of Ukraine have to line up in a seperate line. Considering how many goods my parents have sent to Poland in the 80s...
then again they have also warned for years that they were preparing to allow eastern European refugees in, expecting this for quite some time. This war is the result of more than 30 years failed politics. There was a chance for Peace while Gorbatchev was president. He was the only Russian president to not enrich himself and his family and who could have remained a trusted politician. But he was left alone and when Jelzin and Putin planned their coup, there was zero support for him. I am aware that Russians hate him, but if he would have had more help, the average Russian citizen would have had a better life today and there would not be war in Ukraine. Gorbotchev also was the only president to ever admit his own faults as well as the faults of those before him. In recent years he has on occasion come out to defend Putin, but at 90 I believe that the man wants to end his life at home and not in prison. SO he does what he has to do and moderates his criticism, but he stands firm on the basics and he has a CV to show his truth.
ANyways I am also cynical enough to acknowledge that much of the solidarity shown is also due to corana fatigue. In our 3rd year in a pandemic this war gives people a reason to demonstrate against sth other than whether or not to wear a mask or get vaxxed. No talk about covid damgers from refugees yet. ANd I just received a mail about churchbells ringing tomorrow at 8. Guess it helps as much as clapping for overworked nurses...

Germany is also opposing the swift sanction but that is under attack from local press, so may be reviewed. Italy might want to review their exception for luxury goods. That is specifically aimed at the cronies and exempts the average Russian. Average Russians have been the targets of sanctions in the past, which made them turn towards Putin. Germanys lack of a proper army is Germany. Mentality has changed. Besides we are too fat and comfy on our sofas. Our young men can shoot you in all sorts of ways in video games, but they barely get a foot out of the house to excersize. At the moment Russia is being isolated in any ways and some of it is painful to watch, but people are basically demanding a stand. Poland does not want to play Russia, which forces FIFA to take a stand. F!1 has cancelled Sotchi because Vettel and Verstappen voiced their opinions. In Munich the mayor asked the conductor of the Philharmonic orchestra to distance himself from his friend Putin. If not, he will be out of a job on Monday. Many other things are going on world wide. People are taking sanctions out of the hands of politicians. A few weeks ago DM would have called it cancel culture, but it is self empowerment of the people and it causes change faster than some would like. It isn't always right, but neither are politicians. ANd everyone can make their own choice.
As to Putin and riches, yeah I agree. He had the chance to really change Russia. But he preferred to fill his own pockets and the pockets of those he needed. He bribed the German ex chancellor with millions and allowing him to adopt children, which his own country would not have done, because he was too old and with way too many wives under his belt. I still can't believe why there wasn't a bigger outcry at the time. IMO he needs to be stripped of his honours and should not be allowed to receive the chancellor pension as long as he works as a lobbyist for Russia. Those rules need to change. They get plenty of money to live comfortably, if chancellors and presidents go to work for millions, than they should forfeit the benefits that are given to them.

I beg to differ, donna. The putin system did allow them to rise to richess and power. A few of them fell out with him, but there is quite a number that have to do with him. They hold money for him in their name etc. A lot of that money is managed by MC banks. it is a network of sleeze and they are using MC to launder money and to keep it safe. All of those politicians have these kind of accounts. Even Selenski as the Pandora files proof. And when Sarkozy visited MC, he was visiting his money, the money he received during his corrupt presidency. ANd since he is a convincted fellon, we can call him a criminal without it being considered diffammation.
Also people fleeing their country and images of bombings are not an agenda, it is called war. And to be honest, given the state of our army, Putin could easily march through to Berlin. Our soldiers don't even have rifles that can shoot properly, let a lone proper body armour. People consider it an insult that Germany offered to send 5000 helmets. Fact is that our soldiers would be happy if they had these. We have become such peacenics that the only properly armed Germans are Reichsbürger and Neonazis. They are also the ones who still apply to actually become soldiers.
Yes the US want to sell weapons and they do. Schools are a good idea, but Ukrainians are actually a very well educated people in comparrison. Especially the US. There might actually be some jealousy involved from Putin, because well educated academics are turning their back on Russia. That is the real threat to Russia. And they do find employment in Ukrain and other eastern European countries that have started to prosper. VW will not be able to produce next week due to the war in Ukraine, because of parts being produced there. Nestle has stopped their production in Ukrain and asked their workers to stay home and stay safe. Putin runs a cleptocratic government, with a large part of the population still living in the same kind of poverty they lived in in the 70s. Whereas former states of the USSR are prospering, even out performing some western states. The Baltic states are an example of it. Germany used to be an example of good education way back. These days our education officials are green with envy when they look at the school systems of the Baltic states, especially with regards to the digital world. ANd lets not mention women in male dominated domains (at least in western countries, apparently communism was good for women in that respect; to this day girls in the 5 former east German states are supperior to their western counterparts in natural sciences).
And just fyi Selensky WANTS to join NATO. Even now. He said so today. It is not the US pressuring, it is Ukraine begging. But ALL members have to agree to let them in and they don't. And they won't. So maybe you might want to check Putins fake news, before passing it on as truth. He is trying on so many levels to twist the truth, that he can not be trusted. He is completely unhinged. Maybe being isolated as a dictator and on top of that being further isolated due to covid he is experiencing some weird kind of lagerkoller, but currently he makes Kim yong un look like a friendly person.
Oh, and Russians in Ukraine, who don't like the elected government are free to live in Russia. I am sure people in Iceland would not be pleased, if people who came to live and work in their country would suddenly decide that they don't like the way Iceland is run, so declare part of Iceland independent and shoot you, if you dare to tell them that they are only guests and have to accept how Icelanders want their country to be run. Ukraine allowed them to continue to live and work there, when they declared their independance. They could have kicked them out then and there (which in hindsight they might have been well advised), but they did not. So a bit of gratitude would be in order. The agressor has been Putin, who has turned the people against their hosts. Just because he and those people could not accept that times have changed. The USSR is no more and that is a good thing. Russia has not accepted that and that is the real reason. Putin is afraid of democracy and he will not tolerate any democratic country as a neighbourgh. Finland is not joining Nato out of fear and the same goes for Sweden. But Ukraine is an example of what Putin really plans. Moldavia might be next. He has done similar things to Georgia. All former USSR states, that are now independent are in danger if they want to rid themselves of their cleptocratic Russian puppets. Look at Belarus. ANd what happened to their election. It is still run by an unelected president who helped Putin to attack Ukraine. There is a reason Putin kept him there. He needed him for his plans in Ukraine.

A one on one fight of Putin with one of the klitschko brothers would have been preferable. I think those bare chested pics of him riding on a horse should have given us a hint that the guy from his early years was a facade. I don't think that this just happened over night. There is a reason why Merkel always thorougly disliked him. And he disliked her as well. Schroeder was easy game for him, but Merkel, fluent in Russian and immune to his kind of flattery, knew who he was and that you never trust a Russian agent. But she did have to run a party and a country and had to compromise. But in pics with him she always looked grumpier than she usually looks. I have to say though that she had her way with alpha men and putting them in their place. I do wonder if she would have had more success dealing with him.
still I'd like to hear where ALbert stands and if he will comply with EU sanctions. There is a lot of Russian money in MC. He could confiscate Russian Yachts and property in MC. He could chase them out of the country. We are not talking about regular citizens, we are talking about the criminal oligarchs. Albert has to speak up if he doesn't want to look bad in all this. It does concern MC too.

well, IMO it is evident that Putin has lost his marbles or is on some meds that made him lose his mind (most dictators do eventually). Maybe Albert can send him a list of adresses to seek treatment? He clearly needs it. He has lost all sense of realtity and no idea of the country he is invading. To suggest to the Ukrainian militaria to putsch against their elected president? Negate the legitimacy of the government and at the same time suggest talks? talks with whom? ANd in Minsk? A city in the country that helped him invade? He calls a Jewish president who lost family in the holocaust a Nazi? Does he really think that the Ukrainian people or his own people are that stupid? I think he needs to be really afraid, because the longer this lasts, the more likely he will be ousted. IMO all frozen assets should go as reparations to Ukraine and a democratic government, to repair and compensate the victims. Russian and all its allies need to be politically isolated. IMO they should also be thrown out of the UN security council. And sanctions should also be extended to those trying to step in, buying gas etc of russia. That would be a clear signal to China and might help quash their plans to take over Taiwan. Because if Chinas collaboration with Russia would result in trade embargos on China, it might destabilize its own regime, because it would threaten their lifestyle. And lets face it, a less econimically successful China would see people more discontent with their leaders. And China knows that. So if collaboration with Putin means sanctions, it might help prevent others like him from doing the same thing. Obviously Assad still thinks that he should stand by Putin, but once Putin is gone and Russia is facing up to what comes after him, I think then he will find himself in trouble. Wonder who will take them in. Btw wonder if snowdon still likes to hide under Putins wing. Thx to anonymus, whoever they are to actually help Ukraine in their field of expertise. Hopefully, we can count on you when other democracies are being attacked.

So, Albert, still Putins friend? Freezing russian assets yet? Kicking russian oligarchs out of your country? Putting his lover and his kids under house arrest? How about sending them to Kiev? (ok, not so nice, but hey, Putin doesn't do nice; he even sends his soldiers to Chernobyl, well knowing that they will get radiated; the cynic in me says, well , glow in the dark soldiers are an easier target, but it does show clearly Putins disregard for people in general; his soldiers being his first victims) Are you on the side of the Eu or Putin? MC is a small country, but when it comes to sanctions against Putins croonies with incredible abilities. This is your chance to do good and clear your image. Putin is the goliath against the defenseless ukranian David. But an even smaller monegasque David could do the russian Goliath some serious harm. Be brave, Albert and do whatever you can. People might even take you seriously on the big stage. But all in all I am confident that this is the beginning of Putins end. His problem is that Ukraine is a democracy with especially the young people turning westward and demanding freedom of speech etc. A large number of Russian youngsters are going the same way and with the internet this number is growing faster than Putin can handle. That is what he is realy afraid of. The question is how long will they tolerate Putin and his cleptocrats and how long will he be able to keep support for war from a people whose opinion he never asked. How long is the Russian people willing to pay the price for that lunatic in the Kremlin. Putin ought to be very afraid... of his own people. The opposition is getting stronger by the minute...

armstrong overcame cancer too. It was caused by doping. Quite a few top athletes battled or battle cancer at an early age. So very sceptic when athletes go public with cancer, especially the kinds that are linked to doping. I have seen too much behind the scenes to accept their stories at face value. I just know that no 15 year old has the means to decide on her own to dope and procure the drugs. I don't know if it is the officials, her coach or if her parents are in on it, but a child should not be competing with adults when she can't even make decisions over her own body. Decisions which will have an impact on her health, her ability to have children or as I said getting cancer or heart conditions etc.

yes she is. Very down to earth, very relateable. Seeing her cry on national TV (IMO anger tears), set the water works off with me too. www.ardmediathek.de/video/sportschau/eiskunstlauf-katarina-witts-traenen-analyse-tut-mir-so-leid/das-erste/Y3JpZDovL3dkci5kZS9CZWl0cmFnLTAyNDIxMGZjLTI5NTQtNDY4MC04MjhhLTExZGZhYTllZjJhZg I mean she is a professional, she has been on TV plenty of times, seen a lot, experienced a lot herself, but there she cracked. It was a very honest TV moment. I think the scene must have reminded her of her own coach jutta Müller reading her the riot act for tiny faults. I remember it well, just from the outside. And she took it in and smiled. And I am certain that she has been doped without her knowledge at the time too. It was the system and athletes were not informed about the meds they were given. Already as children. And we know what doping does to women. IMO this poor girl found herself in the exact same situation. I really doubt that she had any knowledge about being doped. But I have no doubt that her coach and the officials around her organized it. Also I think that very few of the top athletes were not doped. Just not caught. The dopers are always way ahead of WADA. And I am certain that China, the USA etc are organizing their doping just like the Russians. Look at the US swimmers, Armstrong etc. Or the scandinavians. Sport is politics. During cold war times it was war. Interestingly, most German athletes are either enlisted as soldiers or police. It is how they finance their sport, have access to facilities etc., but their official jobs are soldiers. And I think that is what is what Olympics etc really are. War in a different arena...

guess next NH they will be on the honours list. Love to know his opinion on the treatment of that figure skater. A 15 year old child does not make a decision to dope nor does she have the means or opportunity to do so. IMO those around her need to be punished. The coach needs to get her license revoked for life. The discussion about age restrictions is over due. Though I don't think that an 18 year old would have better means. But still. I remember that a similar discussion took place decades ago about gymnasts. And we know how abused these girls were. Despite a change of regulations. IMO they should have introduced this to all participants at all international competitions. Adults should not compete against children. Regardless how talented they are. And everyone knows that without what was laid on her small shoulders, she would have won gold. You can not get that kind of talent via doping. And her performance in the short showed her mental strength. But after all she is only 15 and what we saw on scene was bad enough. The tears of Katarina Witt on national TV(who skated under a similar regime and stated that she did not have the abilities of that girl; I think coming from her, who dominated figure skating for decades gives an idea of how talented this girl is. I have seen Denise Bielmann perform her piroutte, but not as good as this fragile young skater)give me a glimpse of what must have gone on in the background. She also said that her parents would have had no access to their child and no opportunity to take her out of the competition and protect her. Her 4th place to me is a gold medal. Even when she failed, she still managed to continue and she finished, where others would have given up. That was despite all a strong performance of a child and I hope she manages to see that one day and win her medal in 4years. She will still be young then. Anyways under different circumstances the winner of the goldmedal would have been proud, but You want to messure yourself against the best under fair conditions and then win. This win is a loss. To everyone.

given that info on the property is now out there, I guess it will be hard to sell with a profit. Unless they get andrew to connect them with one of his mobsters in need to launder some money. By the looks of things Andrews family seems to be the only ones to get along with them. Which makes me wonder...

Naomi Campbell's charity still managed to hand over more donations to actual recipients than the pair's foundation 🤔 yeah, and her "charity" was not very giving. Wonder if she paid her surrogate with that money too. Because surely it is not a wealthy woman who gave birth to that kid. IMO the law has to be changed to prevent exploitation of poor women. Like introduce a minimum yearly salary a woman has had to receive over the past decade. And with minimum I mean th average income of a middle class woman. I would also forbid the use of women from abroad. If parents go to "cheaper" countries to exploit women I would disallow them to bring the child into the country and you could not adopt them. I would use DNA tests with foreign adoptions to stop parents from adopting their children born by surrogate. IMO it is a way of human trafficking and those involved should be treated accordingly.
