A new (or additional?) board member was appointed. Which shows that Albert worked on his birthday, the sovereign decision was dated 14 March...

Not getting these guys. Why on earth is Alberts foundation handing out prizes in London instead of MC? has Albert become a prince of England now? Or is it so difficult to get people to come to MC these days that they have to go to places that are more attractive because more cultured then MC? The explanation of Fautrier doesn't sound plausibel. Just because you have an office somewhere, doesn't mean you hand out the prizes there. Important prizes are always tied to the location. No one would dream of doing the Nobels anywhere but in Stockholm, the Oscar in LA and the palm in Cannes. I already found the Princess Grace award in the US odd, but at least that can be explained with her nationality. Btw trashy couldn't make it, she probably had to go shopping somewhere or get surgery.... www.monacomatin.mc/monaco/la-fondation-prince-albert-ii-remet-ses-awards-a-londres.1017411.html

I'm telling you --- it's Charles and Diana pre-separation announcement time.

One Nobel Prize gets handed out in Oslo, Norway...
The peace one, I believe. That one that got awarded to Obama after being in office for two days and the one that now goes to the EU. If it wasn't so sad, it would be laughable. Can someone put a red nose on it for me?

yes, it's the peace prize. Wonder when I will get my 0,002 Euro into my account Still, everyone knows the city that goes with the prize, if it is important. No one would think of handing out the Oskar in NY or Miami. Monaco was once known for the world music and the Laureus sport. They both moved. Not sure if the world music still exists, but the Laureus is now in Spain. The TV festival doesn't attract enough media and really doesn't seem to have a good enough reputation. If they managed to get a high caliber jury and make interesting decisions, then they might get some reputation, but the way it's run, it's just another one of those things. The problem they have is that they are mainstream. They toot into the same horn everyone is already tooting into. There is no taking risks. Same with the Foundation prize. Attenborough? Really??? no one else worth a prize? It's just so blah. Like MC these days. It's all so blah. As to the relationship going downhill, well there never was an up so basically it's remaining on the same level. Ever since the wedding trashy does what she wants. She has no interest in MC and never had. SHe never had an interest in work, so she never does. She never had an interest in ALbert beyond his wallet and what he could grant her: attention. I really can't say that anything has changed with them. The only thing that changed is that trashy does no longer travel with Albert to protect her claim. She thinks the ring is enough and all she wants. Why should she bother with his presence. It's exactly as we predicted. I don't think there will be a break up anytime soon, unless someone makes Albert or he meets someone who really interests him and makes him see his mistake. But that is not going to happen.

In case my suggestion in the BRF thread about the PA2 foundation making a symbolic gesture to the Lac-Megantic environmental disaster, I'm re-ietrating here. Please help.

his foundation supports projects about water and water preservation. Not seeing how that relates here. It's not a charity for desaster etc. There you would have to appeal to the red cross. I honestly think though that Canada has enough money to handle this, as tragic as it is. If Germany can handle the flood victims and damages on it's own (they cost billions), I think Canada can handle this one, which will cost significantly less. It is just a question if they feel like paying. But then, if the Canadian public thinks they should and the government thinks they shouldn't, the public can make themselves heard and you will see how quickly they will find money and means to help... I just read an article about an Ethiopian project which seems to pan out incredibly well for them. I think there the money would be much better spent.
