This thread is dedicated to the posting of designers, cost, and other information of items worn by Charlene. Please just do not post photos of Charlene attending events, this is not a sugar board "fashion thread" where you just repost the photos of her attires and then comment on them (of course this can be done in the thread where the event is being discussed).
[My rant why Charlene's extensive and expensive wardrobe bothers me so: ON]
Charlene's friends started a similar thread on her Facebook account titled the Princess of Fashion - a goal that Charlene seems to strive for - being noted as the best dressed Princess. Based on the contents of the Facebook folder, Charlene took pride in her new extensive and very expensive collection of designer clothing, shoes, and purses. Don't be surprised to see Charlene wearing an attire that averages around $6000 just to attend a simple lunch or even a trip to Monaco's Exotic Garden. Does Charlene's position calls for her to now have a wardrobe of top designers and the latest season’s fashion? Isn't such a wardrobe expected for someone in her position and as THE representative of Monaco, which is known for its luxuriousness? Is it fair to even make an issue the cost of Charlene's outfits or criticize Charlene for having an extensive collection of the latest designs, especially since Princess Caroline has an extensive collection of designer clothing and no one makes an issue of it? Well, of course Charlene is not expected to dress as she originally did when she was relying on her non non-existent income. And of course, Charlene is now in a different role and position than she did as an athlete, so her wardrobe is expected to match not only her new status, but also to match the appropriateness of a wide variety of events.
My issue is with Charlene’s original fashion choices and philosophy about not being a slave for fashion and her totally opposite mentality and behavior now.
I really feel that Charlene’s original fashion mentality of inexpensive and/or borrowed clothing was all a big con to impress Sucker Albert to show him that she was not interested in his money. I always felt that when Albert invited the penniless Charlene to live in Monaco and be his escort at events, he should have also provided her the appropriate wardrobe. However, Charlene allowed Albert to pay for all her other expenses, but yet she chose to provide her own trashy wardrobe as an attempt to show that she was an independent woman and not after Albert’s money (a friend of hers even attested to this in an interview with Bunte). Only a fool like Albert would fall for this, especially since Charlene had no income and wasn’t looking for one, so how was she an independent woman? But this strategy worked for Charlene! Charlene was critiqued for her cheap and trashy wardrobe and Albert viewed the criticism as a badge of honor for Charlene since she refused to use his money to buy her wardrobe. Instead, Charlene chose to take Armani's money and use their clothing (which only happened because of her association with Albert). so basically, Charlene got paid not to accept Albert's money to buy her wardrobe. This man is the biggest fool in Monaco. He allowed Charlene with her trashy wardrobe to disrespect his country and felt it was a good thing – even though he was paying for all her other needs.
I feel that a woman’s in Charlene’s position can dressed appropriately and very elegantly without spending thousands and thousands of dollars just for one outfit, especially for a simple event. Charlene’s nouveau riche mentality about fashion really bothers me. She seems to think that the more expensive her wardrobe the better. A woman who now shops constantly, even between duties on State visits (like in Ireland), wears a $3500 jacket (the other part of the outfits probably costs just as much) to a lunch where she has only spent an hour of her time, and a woman who buys $1000 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes by the bag full. – looks very much to me a woman who knew how to play her cards right until she got what she wanted – which is the essence of a con artist. Good job Conlene! So, this thread is dedicated to your accomplishment.

This is so true - she was showing up in re-used cotton tops and jeans and jeans and all kinds of halter dresses.
She had no class when she dressed herself. This is just window dressing and a desperate attempt to attract attention to her.
'Cause there is no real substance there for media attention.

The dress Charlene wore to visit the Exotic garden in Monaco is by Giorgio Armani and it retails for $1,775 (you can get one at Neiman Marcus). based on the cost of her previous jackets, the jacket probably cost between $3500 - $5000. I wouldn't be surprised if the shoes and purse don't cost around $1000 each. So, Charlene could easily be wearing a $6000 - $7000 outfit to visit the garden, which I guess is warranted when you are the Princess of Fashion. Polka-Dot Sheath Dress Feminine folds soften a structured print. Navy with ivory dots. Scoop neckline. Sleeveless. Banded Empire waist; asymmetrical gathered fan detail at bust. Wrap detail on straight skirt. Seaming creates a contoured silhouette. Silk/cotton. Made in Italy.

The jacket that Charlene wore on the last day of the Ireland State Visit (6 April 2011) is by Akris and the jacket alone retails for $3500 (you can order one at Neiman Marcus). again, igf you add the cost of the pants, blouse, belt, purse, and shoes, you are easily looking at a probably $7000 outfit. she seems so proud of herself - th Princess of Fashion. AkrisDouble-Face Fitted Jacket Hook closure and seam pockets give this slim jacket a clean, quintessential Akris look. Pentagon Style. White. Notched collar; hook-and-eye front. Seam pockets. Long sleeves. Double-face wool/polyamide. Made in Switzerland.

"Charlene’s nouveau riche mentality about fashion really bothers me."
EVERYthing about charlene bothers me! (throwing up icon) first of all, of all the dresses at neimans and she picks this fugly one.....i know it looks better on the model but that scoop neck does not go with her shoulders. in my experience if you are smart enough at NM to ask for help, they of course are looking to a big sale BUT will steer you away from things not good on your body type (they want you to LOOK GOOD in their stuff and advertise well) this tells me she's still going for the boobs falling out tops (she worked hard for those puppies, she likes to walk them in public) inappropriate for her body style and whoever is helping her either is being ignored or she's relying on flunkies and picking out what to wear herself. (dumb dumb dumb girl)
i've seen it my whole life, if a woman has style and class, she looks like a princess in a Walmart dress, if she's trashy all the money in the world can't make her have style. i think that's what so pathetic about trashlene, my GAWD the clothes aren't really bad, they just look like cheap crap on her. the "labels" are trying to get a homerun like all the clothes Kate has been wearing (they're selling out in hours) but she's been wearing their stuff for years and years and i really doubt ANYBODY has bought a dress to be like tramolina. You are right about everything Countess. What is so funny is that Charlene now only wear top designer labels, yet no one associates the designer with what she is wearing - NO ONE! After all the thousands of dollars she spends on each outfit, no one cares. I always have to search to find out what she is wearing. Armani used to send out press releases when Charlene wore his clothing. But, I don't think Charlene is his ambassador anymore, which is why he isn't doing it now. Charlene already got what she needed from the ambassador deal with Armani - money and to fool the sucker Albert that she didn't want to spend his money on her clothes. Making up for it now huh Conlene? I bet Charlene did the same scam as she did for her move from South Africa to Monaco - Conlene made the village Idiot of Monaco think that he had to force her to spend his money on clothes.

The jacket Charlene wore to the Ladies Lunch event (in which her total time associated with this bi-annual event was ONE HOUR as told by one of the board members) is by Akris and the jacket alone retails for $3500 (you can buy one at Sak's Fifth Avenue). again, I wouldn't be surprised if with the blouse, belt, purse, and shoes this is another total cost $6000 attire. I swear, this is the cheapest looking jacket and anyone has to be crazy to spend that much money for it. But, Charlene is the Princess of Fashion - and what matters for the nouveau riche is the designer and the cost. Akris Bouclé JacketSoft cotton in a finely textured bouclé weave with drawstring sleeves and back waist. Stand-up collar. Open front. Partial lining. About 23" from shoulder to hem. Cotton; dry clean. Made in Switzerland. Again, look how proud she is with herself. I really belief that Charlene only views these events an opportunity to show off her new extensive and expensive wardrobe. Afterwards, she dashes to the Internet to read the accolades about her outfit.

More on the outfit that Charlene wore to the Ladies Lunch event. The pants look very much to be by Akris also and retails for $995 (you can buy one at Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf Goodman). So, for the pants and jackets, the running total cost is $4500 (and we still haven't added the cost of the blouse, belt, shoes and purse). Akris High-Waist Wide-Leg Pants These wide-leg pants create fluid movement as you walk. Shell (cream) twill. Front slant pockets. High waist with self belt. Wide legs. Button/zip front. Wool/viscose. Made in Switzerland.

More on Akris, which seems to be her new favorite designer now. The dress that Charlene wore to the Circus Awards Gala on 25 January 2011 (her birthday) was also by akris and it retails for $2990 (you could have bought one at Saks Fifth Avenue). Akris Drape-Front Belted Dress A silk georgette design constructed with a beautifully draped side. V neckline Long sleeves. Belt at waist Back zip closure. Lined in silk. About 22" from natural waist. Silk; dry clean

Such a waste of money. it is no wonder that no designer wants to associate himself with WC. She makes every piece of clothing, no matter how expensive, look cheap and boring.

I see the different models with the different dresses and i can't believe it, when the models wear it, they look like completely different dresses of what Charlene wore! Cashlene is way too manly to to look good in any of these dresses.

Some people think she is finally developing her own style: Ähh, no. Not she, her stylists. The poor people have to work very hard.

Such a waste of money. it is no wonder that no designer wants to associate himself with WC. She makes every piece of clothing, no matter how expensive, look cheap and boring. Actually, designers are associating with Charlene. Armani chose her as one of his ambassadors to wear his clothing (and I believed paid her for it) and he sings her praises all the time. Akris has also sang her praises as she wears his clothes. I'm sure others want her to wear their clothing also. Economically, times are still hard for fashion houses and these designers are operating under the adage that when anyone wears their clothing, it is good publicity for them. The problem is that Charlene wearing Armani, Akris, or any other designers does NOT benefit the designer in any manner. I doubt NOT ONE of these designers received any inquires about a particular item of their that Charlene has worn or I doubt there was a mad rush to the store of people buying an item once they saw Charlene wearing it. These designers are making the same mistake that Albert and the palace has made about the actual positive EFFECT that Charlene has - she doesn't have any EFFECT at all! Actually, she may even have a negative effect for some designers and definitely for Monaco.

Is that a CARDBOARD cutout of Albert?! It sure looks like it. For sure it's been badly photo-shopped, but I originally thought it was a photo of him that was put there and photo-shopped to make it look like he was standing with her - (which he clearly was not) But now when I look at it - it really looks like a big cut out standing print of him. JMO BINGO! It's what I've said all along. Class has absolutely nothing to do with how much money someone has - or spends on anything. It has nothing to do with how many lovers one has had or not. You either have it, or you don't. Charlene doesn't have it - and never will. It's impossible to manufacture it. And unfortunately for her, it is obvious that the people advising her don't have it either. No one around this girl even has an eye for what looks good on her or not. If they did, they would know how to fix it so she didn't look so out of place in her clothes. (And, I'm not going to tell them what they could do to make her look better either! It wouldn't help her in the class dept anyway.) Just pathetic! AdminNote: Fixed quote

AdminNote: Fixed quote and removed 2 photos i think the large photo of albert minus his "boiler" [ fat ass belly] and charlene's trimmed shoulders [looks like they took off a few feet off] should be in the Photo Shop Awards thread [in the thread at the bottom of the main forums page]. i'm just too lame to know how to move it there.
