I know information about Charlene;s necklace was posted in the wedding thread, but I wanted to post information here also. In addition to her two new expensive tiaras, Charlene also had the necklace she wore to the Jarre concert specially designed - with her assistance. The necklace is called Infinite Cascade and the designer is Nagib Tabbah. Question: Did I miss the huge international raving about Charlene's necklace and the tiara that she did wear (excluding the sugar loonies who rave about everything that she wears)? Seriously, there is no international raving about her wedding gown, her Chanel civil wedding pants suit, her jewelry - nothing about anything that she has worn. all that money - for what?
| The necklace is made of 18K Rose gold necklace set with diamonds and pearls; 1,237 white, round and baguette shaped diamonds; and 6 pear-shaped white pearls. |
Charlene Wears Tabbah’s Infinite Cascade Necklace
In close collaboration with HSH Princess Charlene, acclaimed jewellery house Tabbah designed and crafted the bespoke pieces worn at her marriage to HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, which took place in Monaco last weekend. The necklace was designed as a bespoke piece created after a a series of meetings between HSH Princess Charlene and Nagib Tabbah. The result is Infinite Cascade, a unique item crafted from rose gold set with diamonds and pearls.
“The design of the necklace is imbued with fluid structure: ripples that at once wrap, as if to protect, the neck, while simultaneously cascading over the collar bone where the large pearls drop, their individual settings ensuring delicate sparkle and warm glow as they catch the light,” says Nagib Tabbah.
Tabbah also provided the jewellery worn by HSH Princess Charlene’s Maid of Honour Donatella Knecht de Massy and mother of the bride, Lynette Wittstock.

Charlene's diamond stud earrings that she wore to her Civil Wedding were also by Tabbah.

It says TABBAH PROVIDED the jewelry. Does that mean he LENT the jewelry? Why wouldn't it say simply the jewelry was designed BY: Tabbah and CW? "Provided" seems like a strange word to use if she bought them and the jewels are her property. What do you think?

"Provided" seems like a strange word to use if she bought them and the jewels are her property. What do you think? The term "provided" is only in reference to Donatella and Lynette's jewelry - not Charlene's - which I'm sure the Village Idiot of Monaco paid quite a sum for her ugly necklace.

Charelne was the inspiration for this $116,000 Ateliers de Monaco watch (approximate retail price, depending on the gemstone), which they named “La Sirène” because "the princess has affectionately been dubbed by her new citizens." Supposedly, this was done with Charlene's approval. The article does not mentioned if Charlene recelved one, but I will be surprised if she did NOT receive one as a gift. This is just one of the many people in Monaco sucking up to Conlene thinking that they will be able to cash in on her and her so-called worldwide appeal for Monaco. I wonder if Ateliers de Monaco is regretting their decision and if we will soon see a new name for this $116,000 watch. I actually like the watch. Are we going to see everything in the color of "Charlene Blue" (as she boasted her Chanel outfit was colored)? From Haute Living:
Haute Time: The Princess of Monaco’s Glitzy New WatchBy Pauline Sung Photography by forbes.com July 7th, 2011
Sorry, Kate, but there’s a new princess we’ve got our eyes on at the moment… as well as her new watch. South African Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock became Charlene Princess of Monaco last Friday and, in celebration, the principality’s independent luxe watch brand Ateliers deMonaco created its inaugural ladies watch, La Sirene. The glitzy stunner apparently received official approval from the new princess and her husband, Prince Albert II, who also got a custom blue Lexus LS 600h L Landaulet for his big day.
Pim Koeslag, co-founder of Ateliers deMonaco, said that they got the idea to make their first ever women’s watch from the princess herself. She explained, “We promised her to start the development the next day. And we actually did.” Koeslag also reported to Forbes during last March’s Baselworld that a light blue topaz was the gemstone of choice to match Wittstock’s eyes and to symbolize water, for which the Olympic swimmer was formerly most known for. These reasons are also where the name of the watch came from; “La Sirène” is what the princess has affectionately been dubbed by her new citizens.
The design of dial – which is made up of several of the stunning light blue stones – is inspired by the King Protea, the national flower of South Africa. The flower takes a gorgeous symmetrical form and boasts the largest bloom in its genus. The flower is a symbol of resilience due to its ability to persevere through the harshest conditions, including wildfires. Housed in a 39mm, 18k gold case is a custom-created automatic movement that uses contemporary materials like silicon and a hand-engraved rotor on the reverse. The watch retails at approximately $116,000, depending on the gemstones, and will be limited according to the gemstone availability.

this trashlene blue seems awfully close to wallis blue another good comparison along the lines of the hitlers and the perons hubby had some sexual issues, hubby bought her jewelry because he couldn't get her what she really wanted >>>respect, hubby was weak, silly man that just imagined he had power, wallis only cared about clothes, jewelry and herself and she was an object of pity and gossip for all her empty, vapid years....YEP good comparison i hope the next step is exile, then dying alone with a servant that doesn't change her bed....oh i'm sorry i guess that was too far..mybad

After Albert? What will she inherit when they are divorcing. She will sent the tiaras to St Devote.

More jewelry named after her - Good lawd, his owman's quest for jelwelry and clothes has no ends. Who in the hell names jewelry after themselves to sell for charity? Her narcissism has no ends. from Glam UK:
Van Cleef & Arpels creates The Princess Charlene Alhambra Set
From Amy Hopkinson August 4, 2011
Van Cleef & Arpels have a reputation for making the most exquisite jewellery collections, and the new limited edition ‘The Princess Charlene Alhambra set’ is no exception.
To celebrate the princely wedding, Van Cleef and Arpels have created a limited edition of 15 set jewels for the charities of H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco . The jewellery is adorned with pavé diamonds and luxurious turquoises, giving it a very regal edge.
A portion of the benefits from the sales will go to the associations and foundations that have the endorsement of H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco. A set will be donated by Van Cleef & Arpels to the gala dinner of the Red Cross Ball on the 5th of August 2011.
We wonder if Van Cleef and Arpels would want to donate a set to Glam?

she does not have any charities yet....she only posed for special Olympics, but I doubt she will be forwarding them any money. She only needs a few disabled kids as props to make her look good.

Well it certainly did not take to Monaco. All of them have disappeared from MC. they looked suffering at the wedding day already and now they are gone and have been replaced by begonias ;D AdminNote: Removed display of photo (just removed [ img][/img]) from quoted text since photo is displayed right above

Princess Grace had this necklace. It didn't have the pave though. It's a very popular necklace - a lot of women have it. I have one in white and in turquoise - again without the pave. They added the pave to make it different. I noticed CW was wearing the bracelet in white on one occasion a while back - pre-engagement. it's pretty in it's simplicity. Of course now it's not so simple with the pave. I don't care for the watch at all. Way too much for my taste.

Made by French-German jeweler Lorenz Baumer, the so-called "Diamond Foam" tiara in white gold and nearly 60 karats-worth of diamonds evokes the spray thrown off a crashing wave. Thin strips of precision-cut diamonds are arch up from behind the left ear and fan out in an almost punk-ish explosion at the temple. Large round cut diamonds, the largest weighing 8 karats, punctuate the ends of the sparkling arcs. I think that I might have found the inspiration for this tiara as worn by Princess Anne
