Prince Albert and Princess Charlene host a right royal cocktail affair

H.S.H Prince Albert and his new bride Princess Charlene of Monaco, hosted a right royal cocktail party for friends, family, royal guests, International Olympic Committee (IOC) members, international and local political dignitaries, at the five star Oyster Box Hotel, in Umhlanga, Durban, on Thursday evening, July 7.
The guest list, of almost 400 people, included Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Frederick of Denmark, Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Jeff Radebe and his wife Bridget, Nelson Mandela’s grandson Mandla Mandela, two of President Zuma's wives, the eThekwini mayor, James Nxumalo, South Africa's mining billionaire, Patrice Motsepe and his wife Dr Precious Motsepe, Princess Charlene's family from Australia, Cape Town, Pretoria, Durban, and Benoni, IOC President Jacques Rogge, IOC members among others.
President Jacob Zuma was not able to make it to the event as he had other business to attend to in Limpopo.
Benoni City Times journalist, Clyde Meela, also had the privilege of receiving an invited to the royal affair along with, Jo-Ann Strauss from Top Billing and a few media reporters.
At the start of the evening, the royal couple made a brief appearance on the red carpet in front of the hotel, obliging to a crowd of photographer’s request for royal kiss before moving inside.
The Oyster Box Hotel spent weeks preparing for the event, which follows the couple's royal wedding in Monaco, last week, July 1 and 2.
On the menu the hotel created a dish called "Oyster Charlene" created in honour of the new Princess.
Basically this was a dish of oysters baked with creamed spinach, curried lentils and asparagus.
The newlyweds moved between their party venue and the IOC's celebration venue were Prince Albert had to honour some of his duties as a member of the IOC committee.
Princess Charlene was recently given the award to be an ambassador for the Special Olympic Games.
Members of the IOC committee were at the hotel to celebrate Korea's victory of hosting the 2018 winter Olympic games.

This was the first time in my life were I found myself in a room filled with royalty, heads of states, IOC members, CEOs, international and local political dignitaries, and famous personalities.
It was an honour and a privilege to be a part of this historic event and for that I will forever be in debt of H.S.H Princess Charlene of Monaco and her family.
I met and talked to people that we only dream of meeting one day in our lives.
People such as Prince Albert of Monaco, Prince Frederick of Denmark, the Vice President of NBC, Alex Gilady, Ireland's President of the IOC Patrick Hickey, Jo-Ann Strauss from Top Billing and much more.
Most importantly on the night I had the honour of meeting Princess Charlene's family from her mother's side who came all the way from Australia for the reception.
To the Wittstock family, Mike, Lynette, Sean, Gareth and Princess Charlene, thank you for allowing me to experience this journey with you.
It has been an honour and very humbling getting to know you and your family and to celebrate Princess Charlene's wedding with you guys.

On Friday, July 8, Archbishop Desmond Tutu will welcome Princess Charlene at his HIV foundation in Cape Town.
She will be a co-patron of a collective of 10 charities known as the Giving Organisation Trust.
The focus of the trust's charities range from children, health and animal protection.
Princess Charlene's mother, Lynette, will go back to Benoni for a few days, before returning to Monaco where she has been staying with her daughter for the past few months.
