I wonder who the founder is. While yesterday's paper spoke about a fondatrice, the first one from February mentions a fondateur. (Maybe he got a sex change? Oh, I know, it must be cw. ) The weird thing is, I would expect this "owner" of the brand to be either Albert, the state or the gouvernment. And with le prince, l'état and le gouvernement, neither of them is female. This looks to me like a third person, which is odd. Brands of the state of Monaco. Should be owned by the same state maybe? Just an idea. And if this mysterious anonymous hermaphrodite owns the brand, how can Albert call himself prince of Monaco, not having the rights to the name? How can you say you come from Monaco? Better still how can you be a S.A.M. (société anonyme Monégasque)? BTW, it doesn't say anywhere that the MEM actually owns the brand, but with those last two purposes I can see it being a grey area at best. So, from now it's Monaco TM*BTW, does anybody know how and where you could find the name of this founder? Can you even find it? *This Trademark is owned by M.E.M. (marques de l’etat de monaco) and may not be printed, spoken, written, copied, included in any collection or database, be it digital or in any other shapeor form, or be used at all without prior written consent of the owner.Just getting around to reading! Interesting. Just wondering - If we should even mention this "BRAND" in our postings without permission - good, bad, or indifferent could this pose a problem for us ...? I don't have a clue. Any thoughts?

LOL maybe everyone needs to send letters all to the same place now and then the employees, aka Monegasques and residents, will have to come and pick up their mail from there. It makes censorship and control sooooo much easier ;D

yup on June 1st already. There is another article in todays paper. The article contains a slight criticesm as to the environmental politics. Of course they say that they do not contradict that politics, but knowing people in Mc they will get back into their cars and years of persuading people to use public transport are down the drain. You pay 1 Euro to get from MC to NIce and 2 to get around MC. That is ridiculous.

Arrival of solar powered boat RMS Turanor Planet Solar yesterday afternoon in Monaco Harbour. PA wasn't there. The Swiss told me there was going to be a presentation today and he will be there for that. A few pictures I took yesterday. * * It was nice to see them back after their long journey sailing around the world. Find out more www.planetsolar.org/There are videos of the various stops and the arrival in Monaco. The event went almost unnoticed. Few people around, except for those concerned by the event. For a "green" principality Monaco could have done a lot more advertising for this worthy adventure.

The "Green" principailty are doing everything to encourage pollution and boost the rich. All residents over 60 get year round free bus passes -- does not matter how rich they are as long as they are residents they get on the busses free. It's those who are not residents and those under 60 who will have to foot the bill. If there was proper organization and incentive they could have all busses free all year round by making automobiles paying for entering Monaco the same they do in cities like London or Singapore. Green Principality my butt. It's all a big lie.

Green Principality my butt. It's all a big lie. all they need to do is lower the number of parking space and tow away everyone who thinks they can park where they like. If no parking is available, very expensive etc, people will feel discouraged to use a car. With the free hour parking or shopping at Carrefour, people don't need to worry about the bus. Plus with the tickets so expensive, it will be cheaper and more comfortable to take the car. I am just having fun watching them throwanother half million out of the window and then see passenger numbers decline. Tourists who have taken the Euro bus to MC from Nice or Menton, will not be willing to pay double in MC. ALso they are not installing vending machines on all stops. In any normal country you could successfully sue them for doing so as it means a disadvantage to those who are taking the bus from a stop without one. That is discrimination. I doubt that it will be speeding things up with the drivers though. People will still delay the driver to ask questions. Also what will be the price of the ticket if the machine is broken? If I had the money and still lived there, I'd sue them just for the fun of it. Its another one of their half baked ideas....

The Monaco representative was the Prime Minister (Ministre d'Etat). The Turanor Planet Solar reception will be at the Oceanographic Institute on invitation. Maybe there will be pictures if Mr and Mrs are there together. Nice Matin has published a nice set of pictures of the solar powered boat arrival yesterday in Monaco Harbour. www.monacomatin.mc/diaporama/planet-solar-le-bateau-ecolo-debarque-a-monaco.862352.html?idx=0#top-diapo

They are free until 8 and then they have to pay full price. Still, how far can you go in your town for 2 Euro? In Berlin you can travel one trip for 2,40 anywhere you want. If you want to travel with 2 people return, you can take a 4 ticket. And there are day passes and other tourist tickets to get around. A lot of them give you reduction on entrance fees. Mc does not give you anything like that.

Mc does not give you anything like that. In Helsingborg and the entire Scania they have divided zones, ( because we are influenced with this system from the Copenhagen metropolitan area) then one zone pays for one euro corresponded to 21 SEK. The town main area covers two zones that makes it to two euros, but the last places in this town covers three zones for 3 euros. To the MC it sounds very bad.
