They will have the cathedral's centenary Mass tonight with a Messe by Berlioz, with the orchestra, choir, and the whole schmeer. I suppose Grimaldi Albert and Wittstock Charlene will be attending along with other so-called 'VIPs'. I am not going. I am too afraid I will have nightmares seeing the new pipe organ again and exiting that ghostly building in the dark.

Did HSH and his future catholic bride not show up. What a snub if true and not a good sign. Why oh why can he not get the big picture. CW well she does not know better, but the HSH should! JMO

JMO I doubt that the showed up. Conlene probably needs a week of vacation for all the "work" (attending parties and posing for photos) that she did last week. Recall, she says she needs a lot of down time.

I think Caroline used to be there on occasion in past years, but can't say for sure. It is broadcast at some point by TF2 or TF3 as one of their cultural programs. It's a shame that they put so little emphasis on cultural things. That's why those who pull the strings in MC are hardly ever at cultural events. I have seen Roger on occasion but not often. Which is more then you can say about his predecessors. It is unfortunately not like in other countries where the political elite has to show at cultural events. So for Monaco Roger is an exception to the sad rule of uncultured people. But he still might have some other career interests in mind seeing who he has tagged along.....this btw a more detailed article in wiki about Roger de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michel_Roger

Roger seems to be very different than Proust. I've seen photos of Roger at a lot of cultural events - without the Grimaldis. Also, he hasn't been singing the praises of Charlene as he savior of Monaco as other Monaco officials have. I get the feeling that he is careful not to publicly insult Albert and has been careful of what he says about the wedding. However, I felt Roger really embarrassed himself when he stated that although they budgeted 4 million euros for the wedding, that the cost is not important because it is more important that it is a good celebration. I really doubt that he believes that after he recently had to discuss the 78 million euros budget deficit and tell the people of Monaco that everyone has to "tightened their belts." Clearly, everyone has to tighten their belts in Monaco but the Village Idiot Albert and his trashy bride.

I had an invite to Top Marques so I went inside for a bit on Saturday and got pictures of the wedding car for you all to see. ** ** ** ** ** ** **

an SA promoter and the Mandela foundation? Is that just me or does that sound odd to you too that Mandela is financing a boxing fight? Isn't that too much of a reminder of the violent days of the ANC when they send their thugs out?

It's the grandson of Mandela who was involved with a 2012 reality TV show pilot along with his sibling, the woman I recently traced back to Monaco, who is putting Mandela's name to his foundation sponsoring the fight. They're not waiting for Mandela to be in the ground to scavenge. These are Winnie Mandela's grandkids... That's how you've got CC rubbing shoulders with Nelson... What a stain on the good man's legacy. "... Ndaba Mandela, one of Nelson Mandela's grandsons, said in a statement, "On behalf of my foundation, Africa Rising, it is a great honor to be a part this event. My grandfather (is) an avid boxing enthusiast and we felt it would only be fit to honor him with a world class boxing event as part of the celebration of his 95th birthday. We are very excited to be a part of the 'Monte Carlo Million Dollar Super Four' and honored to have his Serene Highness Prince Albert II and the people of Monaco be a part of what will be an extraordinary celebration." ..."

Call me crazy - but I can smell and feel a S.A. backed stunt back then to get Charlene come to Monaco and be their troyan horse. No poor black S.A. people ... And I don't think it's only the Mandelas.

I'm with you. But these are not "vintage" Nelson Mandela, they are of the Winnie vintage, the thug and fraud kind IMO.

uuups - sorry! Guess it belongs here: Here we hav it black on white. Without Charlene they coundn't use Monaco as playing field because they didn't have the money. And again there is mentioned Mandela. www.sportlive.co.za/moresport/boxing/article7958275.ecePromoter Rodney Berman is the latest South African to roll into the principality, having clinched a multi-million-dollar deal with the SBM hotel chain, which owns the famous Monte Carlo casino. "We want to make Monaco the boxing Mecca of Europe," says Berman, who has signed Kazakhstan middleweight sensation Gennady Golovkin to top the bill on March 30. (...) The two winners of that will battle for a 60-40 split of a $1-million purse at the second show on July 13, which will also celebrate the 95th birthday of Nelson Mandela. "In South Africa we have never had a level playing-field because we have not had the money," says Berman, who was impressed by Prince Albert and his SA wife, Princess Charlene, during negotiations. "But this has levelled the playing field. I can put on a show like the top promoters in the world put on." (...) Well, I haven't heard of him being a boxing fan before, but quite frankly I never thought that it was Winnie alone, who sent out the thugs. IMO Mandela only cut himself lose, when she became bad for his image. But ANC was pretty violent before WInnie came into any fame. Mandela was the leader of the violent wing of ANC. There is a reason why he was put into prison to begin with. He wasn't a Gandhi. He was an Arafat. Just because he is old, doesn't mean he wasn't a violent criminal in his youth. Apartheid was his cause, but who knows where he would have ended up without it....

Yeah yeah yeah, they're going to flood us with articles to detract from the SA-Monaco tax haven extension by legitimizing why lots of money is going to SA from Monaco. Yawn. uuups - sorry!
