Relationship: True love, Fake, or One Big Con Job?

This thread is dedicated to your opinions and any news about the type of relationship that Albert and Charlene has. This thread is beyond just opinions and news about the wedding, but the relationship in general. CM7007's post on May 15, 2011, 3:44pm which describes this relationship is a stark difference from the June 1, 2011 Paris Match's reporter observance of Albert and Charlene's relationship. Also, Christiane Stahl includes in her book L'Autre Prince a comment from Prince Albert about Charlene that gives the impression that Albert does not believe one bit that Charlene is a gold digger. So, could many of us here be wrong about these two? Are the people who know Charlene and Albert a better judge of their relationship and the sincerity of feelings between these two?

Christiane Stahl wrote in her book, "Albert II of Monaco, the other prince who gave him about his girlfriend:

Paris Match reporter Isabelle Léouffre writes this after observing Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock at the Amber Fashion Show:

Tender gestures, glances, exchanging confidences, this official appearance at a charity event suggests their deep attachment that goes far beyond appearances... Well, I have stated it many times and I'll repeat it again - I think that Charlene Wittstock is the biggest con artist and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco is the biggest sucker in Monaco! I really do believe that Albert wouldn't have moved Charlene to Monaco if he wasn't convinced that she loves him and that she is not after his money - that's how Charlene presented herself when she hooked back up with Albert in December 2005. But being the Village Idiot of Moanco that Albert is, he was too stupid to ask him self some simple common sense questions: If Charlenbe is not after his trappings then how was she going to support herself? If she was not interested in publicity, then why was she talking to the press and giving them her private numbers? He should be asking himself now, if this so-called "simple" woman didn't care about designer clothes than why is she wearing outfits that costs almost $7000 just to attend a lunch and having six outfits specially design for the grand Prix? He should ask himself now, if Charlene is not after his money then why is her entire family now living at Roc Agel. Albert really is a poor judgment of people (like Stephanie)! Con artist like Charlene know how to tell people like Albert what they want to hear.

It is obvious that Chalrene is supplying all this information to reporters to keep magazines like Paris Match writing these glorifying articles about her and her relationship with Albert. The party at the palace that Kim Karsdashian attend was a party for the drivers and their wives. The article also notes that Charlene's parents are living at the Dacha in Roc Agel and they are thinking of living there permanently. Also, Charlene had lunch with both of her brothers during the Grand Prix. Hey sucker ALbert - haven't you noticed that Charlene is moving in family member to Monaco one at a time - very slowly - just as she conned you thinking that she was not interested in the trappings of your life. The bride of Prince Albert has just been inducted as a Special Olympics ambassador, a foundation created by the Kennedy family and dedicated to the millions of athletes with disabilities worldwide.

CHarlene across the pool with a determined step and raises her fist in victory. Long and narrow podium, the beautiful athlete dressed in black walks without stumbling toward the two athletes with mental disabilities who are waiting at the end. Arranged in boxes around the turquoise water, the assembly of the evening grouse Amber Lounge Fashion held at the Meridien Hotel in Monaco is holding its breath. It's symbolic moment. The one where the bride of Prince performs live her rite of passage: She is intended more to Olympic championships. But she will continue her journey, which began in South Africa in humanitarian aid through sport. A role in its measurement.

This May 27, 2011, before the cameras of the world, she was inducted into the Special Olympics ambassador. I always said this, as proof of the raw reality: If Albert, who is a 53 years old man, was a simple shoemaker, or butcher, or bricklayer, would Charlene, who is a 33 year old woman, have laid her eyes on him?
If Albert had no money, no political power, nothing...if he was only a fat old bricklayer, would a so called Olympic Swimmer, that has won medals, have laid her eyes on him? Answer is: HELL NO.

Of course, i once stated this on the Sugar Fantasies Forum, and as everything there is in pink colour, they have said that love has no age nor social background, so according to them, yes, Charlene, the angel of Monaco would have laid her eyes on Fattie. But if you ask a person that lives the life as it is, and don't believe in fairytales anymore, would answer, no.

Charlene doesn't even love Albert. Charlene Lynette Wittstock only loves Charlene Lynette Wittstock and is willing to do everything for the good of Charlene Lynette Wittstock.
So, there, it's a Big Con Job and Fake relationship, that only a big sucker like Albert II of Monaco would believe.

And about Paris Match: well, we are talking about Paris Match, they are paid to write sugary things.
And Christiane Stahl: is another fake woman that as she can't have Albert for herself to play with him directly, she needs a do-nothing-know-thing, who believes is smart, but is only street smart, to catch Fat Al.

To answer your question, let's explore each answer.

True love: No. Two people know if they are in 'true love' within days/moments of meeting. It doesn't take them 10 frickin' years to figure it out. Mentally challenged people can tell you when they have have a special feeling for someone; they don't need years to figure it out. Or you can have a 'When Harry Met Sally' moment where you have been good friends for years and then suddenly realize that it is true love, but you don't wait for over a year to get married. As Harry said, you want to get your life together started right away. But Albert and Charlene have never appeared to be good friends who share multiple interests. Albert has always, to my eye, presented Charlene as simply arm candy and he really doesn't know much about her or care to. And Charlene simply seems interested in performing for the cameras. If there is any true love in this story, it is Charlene's love for Charlene. Also, I doubt someone who truly loved Charlene would have allowed her to have all those surgeries, risking her life. You certainly wouldn't have paid for it.

Fake: This would imply that the two of them are in a conspiracy to fool the citizens of Monaco and tourists around the world. This may be true of Albert, but not Charlene. It certainly seems that Albert has let himself be convinced that by marrying someone, he can bring attention and economic expansion to the country. It is hard to think of anyone who has accepted a job who is less interested in performing his job duties than Albert. Albert is very lazy. Thus, the wedding seems like an easy way for Albert to get things corrected. Unfortunately, this wedding is flash and dash and does not get to the root of the problems and thus will not work. Also, Albert is stuck in the pre-internet world where people discuss and opine on almost anything and it is hard to keep a lie afloat for long. Plus, while the Monegasques may have to accept the lies that Albert tells and can't say NOT, the rest of the world is not so bound.

Con Job: I think that Charlene decided when she went on the first date/one-night-stand with Albert that she was going to con him into marrying her. I have always wondered where she got the idea that she could pull this con off. Does Albert really come across as that naive and stupid? Somehow in this con job, Albert has been convinced that since Charlene did not leave him when she caught him or knew that he was with other women, she was really in love with him. And being in love with someone meant that they would put up with all your crap. Though Charlene is a jr. high dropout, she has demonstrated tremendous street smarts in orchestrating this con to the point where her whole family has taken over Roc Agel. (The idea that Albert has allowed the Wittstocks to move into and take over this country retreat that the Grimaldi family used as a refuge during the Rainier and Grace years is mind boggling to me.)

So split answer, Albert knows its fake and is thankful that Charlene will go along with it and Charlene is laughing all the way to the bank at how successful her con job has worked out. Paris Match is on some agenda as most journalists are nowadays, but once this wedding takes place, stand out of the way for the flood of articles pointing out what a sham this wedding is. Rather than helping Monaco, Albert's wedding will make it the laughing stock country of the world.

I cannot believe how simple minded these people are???

You know how I am always saying Albert will be forever apologizing for Charlene? Not just her for being her, but for bringing her there?
I think all these articles and interviews speak to that, with their obvious retorts and denials of what they know are their huge problems, and then trying to revisit them with such ridiculous lying drivel only brings that much more focus to them.

They really must think (just like Charlene) just by making some ridiculous statement in the press about what everyone knows is true....that Charlene is a simpleminded opportunist and a gold-digger! And there is not one thing that resembles love between these two,. The very fact that they need to try to sell that Charlene is not a golddigger or their love for each other, only makes it so much worse!

The fact that they could actually print such a stupid thing....that Albert could make the obvious ridiculous statement? Please tell me how this woman is different when she is not just 20 years younger than him and completely void of any cultural interest or anything you might think they could have in common...that she could have in common with the prince of Monaco, being the high school drop out that she is? The big glaring fact that she has lived off of Albert for five years as a kept woman, without a pot to piss in herself, all while collecting a big hunk of money each month for her services, yes Albert people are seriously going to believe this woman is not a golddigger and opportunist when she has done nothing but use the very fact that she is sleeping with the Prince of Monaco to celebrate herself for the last five years--where she has actually posed for Magazine covers and photo shoots and did interviews for no other reason than for who she shags! The entire time she has known Albert she has done nothing but try to capitalize on being the Prince of Monaco's kept woman. Does Albert or the palace really think this escapes anyone??? . Not only that, but in the very same article the writer goes on to say just how comfortable all her relatives are getting there in Monaco....they seem to have already moved in, and if they haven't, they are already planning to? So while the writer goes on about all the glamor and superficiality that Charlene and her family are enjoying... living it up in Monaco, yes Albert tell everyone how Charlene is different when she has painted a picture of herself as the biggest OPPORTUNIST ever for the past five years! ;D ;D ;D It is too funny, and that is what makes it so pathetic! Every article and interview is nothing but a reaction to every negative problem they have and every wrong move Charlene has made, and bringing attention in the press trying to deny it or retract it only makes it look that much worse and Albert that much more foolish.

Albert knows Charlene is not in love with him (it is not part of the deal), he may suspend belief that she will grow more fond of him, but Charlene has never made a secret that their relationship has anything to do with love between them, because that was never part of the business deal. Charlene does not care what Albert does privately,--that was part of the deal that she made with him before when they started the charade and the same now!) As long as Charlene gets to be the princess of Monaco, remember "She wanted the JOB bad" not Albert bad "the job" "the title", and if she ever seemed bothered by other women in Albert's life before it was only because she thought they might interfere with her dream--that it might be snatched away if Albert ever fell for someone more suitable that he actually cared for...if he ever thought he could actually marry someone else, besides her! There was something else she gave away in her past interview....how she never bothered to visit her country when she was living in Monaco living the good life, the last five years??? I liked that she gave it up exactly how much she cares for her country, and her family there.

The article goes a lot further in showing what kind of opportunist Charlene and her family are, more than it convinces people that she isn't?

For me, this wedding is fake.

I think that what happen its a big mistake. Made for save the image of the Principality.... Just for that. For him, she is perfect for the role. And after ? He thinks that's what people want : a beautiful woman by his side. (Like other woman : Claudia Schiffer) And he has found a wife accepting this role. She is the "tree masking the forest"...

I thing it's a contract between PA and CW. But I think there are nothing between them. After that, like now, it's "chacun chez soi" PA and CW in each home but not together.

Actually they seemed to be in love together but its just because a lot of press think its not a true love. Its communication only (predictable and not good). They are comedians, and in my opinion, she is payed since the beginning, for charity events representations only. IMO, gradually they have modeled her for made a perfect princess for the role. IMO they (the palace) study the press and maybe the net (but too slowly) for made some change (more smiles, etc.) to sell this story. But it's not a fairytale... and we are not naive. IMO its like a white mariage, a mariage of convenience with contract with lawyer (things to do or not and signatures). For me it's PA who made this choice.

But its a very bad choice. People do not want that for him. They prefer to see him with a woman who love him really and he love. (But is it possible ?) Whats I have read on a lot of forums its that people prefer a clever woman (and an average and natural beauty) at his side rather than a plastic princess without love. PA, don't marry someone for Monaco but for yourself, we are no longer in the Middle Ages.

But I don't think I would venture to far from the truth if I told you that P Albert has had readings with Mediums. (ie Tarot card etc..) I think there is some posts about it on this forum (re friends and Advisors0

Yet, I doubt that he is influence by those "readings" But it seems that like most of us that chooses to go see "these mediums" he was seeking the same answer as us. When will I meet my love?
And that even if CW is in his life.

Now, I might open a can of worm but what if PA cosmic girl was: not tall and not blond and plain pretty. What if she was intelligent, caring, classy (knew how to dress) "ok" looking (7/10) older than 35, love Albert and understood the role of a princess but FAT!!!

Btw JMO but I believe there are beautiful women that are not size 0 or 10 but 14+ Can we at least agree on that!

Thanks to Taz, who translated an article in Bliuck where Albert was posed a question about his wedding (see this post for the article). Yesterday, Paca posted the same comment from a Bunte article (see this post), which they got from the Blick article. I wanted to comment it on here. Again, who reers to their wedding as a party - never anything about love.

Blick reporter: "Monsieur, how do you feel so close to the wedding?"

The Prince exudes: "Excellent! I count the days and even hours. We are all very excited and looking forward to celebrate a great feast with as many happy people as possible. That is our goal."

When this wedding and Trashy Charlene blow up in Albert's face - it's comments like the one above that makes me feel not one bit sorry for Sucker Al. Albert really deserves all the negative fallout that will come his way because he sees this as one big party for him and his plastic Barbie play toy. Whereas, many people in Monaco see this is a detriment for the future of Monaco for generations to come. Albert and of course Charlene are too stupid and childish to think of the consequences of their actions or even that far in advance. They only think about the next vacation and the next party.
