According to the Benoni City Times, the French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP) is in Benoni today shooting a documentary about Charlene. Here's a link to a short video of the South African reporter who was interviewed. Well, at least they went to her high school - so any bets on whether we will finally hear someone in the media actually make an issue that Charlene dropped out of high school? Question for everyone: AFP is a serious news agency, so does anyone believe that they will do a serious well-balanced piece on Charlene or will this documentary just be another fairytale dribble about the Savior of Monaco?
Benoni journalist features in Charlene Wittstock documentary 15 June 2011 by Clyde Meela
Benoni City Times journalist Clyde Meela will feature in a documentary about the soon-to-be princess of Monaco Charlene Wittstock. The documentary was shot on June 15 at various places in Benoni by press agency Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Some of the places include the Benoni City Times, Bunny Park, Charlene's high school Benoni High School and her primary school Tom Newby Primary School. During the interview Meela and the film crew from AFP talked about her upcoming wedding, her swimming career, family, the town of Benoni and much more.

ZDF is a serious TV station too and they only interviewed the likes of Mike Powers who would sing her praise. YOu have to look at the agenda of people. Benoni wants to present itself to the media. No one ever comes there and cares. SO obviously they will gloss over a bit. Also the reporters might hear not so favourable things, but to get people to say it into the camera is a different thing. The reporter will also only ask what he thinks they can sell. DOn't forget that news is a business too. Also the reporter might not usually be interested in this kind of topic, so he wouldn't know what to ask. the serious press will sit and wait until there is sth they can put their hands on and they can sell. Here is an article of le point, also serious press with good connections to Monaco. They mention that numbers for sales etc will be known mid summer, so you can expect them to come back and ask their questions then. Especially when they get more bad news from Monaco. And of course they also look at what the competition is doing. The VSD might set sth off. I think they were the ones to blow the whistle on the media not wanting to pay. Times has started sth too and you have seen how the PR reacted. In every single interview they kept saying that everything is on track, they are not stressed and are relaxed, when indeed their avalanche of interviews confirms the opposite. So I wouldn't put my hopes up too high on the AFP thing. www.lepoint.fr/ces-gens-la/mariage-d-albert-ii-de-monaco-plus-de-500-policiers-monegasques-mobilises-19-05-2011-1332716_264.php

Thanks Paca. My hopes are high that AFP would be journalists instead of an extension of the palace's PR. Well, at least they are going to her high school. Actually, Bunte interviewed a person from Charlene's high school in the beginning. But, never mentioned it after they decided that they would make more money selling/promoting Charlene as the next Princess of Monaco.

Bild had a guy there too. I think the initial piece was a coop between Bunte and Bild.

Wow, how old is she and they are going back to her grade school and High School that she didn't even graduate from? That's amusing. Impressive past for a woman of what 33? I forget her exact age now? Is there ino one that can talk about this woman, or wants to talk about this women in more current times?
