Pfff and where did the tourists hide out after their visit? I guess the PR saw the line ups of Kates exhibit and now they had to make up their own numbers....do these people not know that there are people working in the museum and reporting home whether it was busy or not? Not mentioning that who ever came might have come for the fish and not the wedding exhibit. Too bad no one will know...maybe if it is such a draw they should put it in the Grimaldi Forum where they only have a few hundred people with luck per day....

Seriously though, Monaco wants people to believe that more people came in a day to PAY to see 30 something photos of this wedding (and a few trinkets) than the number of people who came to the country to actually see the wedding in person for FREE? But hey, as long as the suckers who bow down to these two believe it - that's all Albert and Charlene care about. They want to keep the plebs continuing to cheer them because these numbers are undeniable PROOF that they kept their promise that their wedding will draw tourists to Monaco. Are people in Monaco really this stupid?

No, they are not. They know exactly what is going on and that the palace is desperately trying to save face. Only the palace has not yet realized that people have eyes and ears, the place is small, people talk and there is the internet. You do not even need to leave your house to be informed about the latest gossip. The problem for the people at present is that they have not gathered their forces yet to deal with the palace. It is holiday time. That is lucky for Albert for now. He will get hit much harder when they all come back in September. That's why they are so desperately trying to spin doctors this disaster over the summer. Ultimately those with bars and restaurants or at the beach, they will have their own numbers and they have experience too with regards to economy, weather etc to judge whether the wedding helped boost MC. It obviously didn't. there are no more people around then usual. The place is empty.. I think by September Albert will have to answer to his people and even though Proust saved him from Valeri, there might come somebody else who will have a field day with Albert.

Paca what would you suggest if not flipflops and not highheels?

there are nice open shoes with not so high heels. But with her it's either flipflops or extreme high heels. She just doesn't seem to wear normal shoes that make you look good and appropriately dressed and are comfortable at the same time. I guess it's because she never spent much time walking like normal people

You are right. She was going with flipflops by the pool, and highheels to the swimming galas. Who is educating her? Nobody!!

Just to put the given numbers in perspective: the museum has about 650000 visitors per (I think the number is form 2009 as 2010 was said to be higher). Obviously more during holiday season. Still there would have to be about 54000 visitors per month to get that number at least. We do not know when they started counting for the wedding exhibit or if they really made a distinction between those who come to see fish and those who come to see the wedding things. Having said that, there are never huge line at the museum. There are days which are obviously more frequented then others. So I guess that the given numbers are within normal range of the museum or slightly above. SInce these people are grabbing at straws for the "effet mariage" they make things sounds bigger then they are fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mus%C3%A9e_oc%C3%A9anographique_de_Monaco

Hibou, I'm from Australia, and I can tell you that when we visited Monaco back in 2007, I made a bee-line straight to the church to visit the grave of Princess Grace. She was a truly beautiful lady. So, it's not just Americans, but also Australians who are "silly" concerning Grace & Monaco

Do these numbers sound too good to be true? This is what seems strange to me: on July 21st they were at 46,000 visitors and in six days there were an additional 18,000 visitors, but on that Wednesday alone they had almost 8,000 visitors. What was special about Wednesday with 8,000 visors and only 10,000 in the remaining 5-6 days (average less than 2,000 per day)? By the way, the cost of the museum ticket (which will include the exhibit) is Adults€ 14.00 ( $20), Children 4 to 18, students and disabled people € 7.00 ( $10) 10 days after opening … 30,000 visitors1. In an article published on July 19, 2001, Stéphane Bern states that the exhibit had 30,000 visitors since its opening on July 9 – so at the most the number would include up until Monday July 18, 2011 (see this post) 3 days later… 16,000 additional visitors 2. On Thursday, 21 July 2011 when Albert and Charlene visited the exhibit, Paris Match cites the Director Robert Calcagno who stated that Albert was the 46,206th visitor and Charlene was the 46,207th visitor (see this post) 7 days later …18,000 additional visitors3. Monaco Telecom reported that between 9 and 27 July, the exhibit had 74 000 visitors, with a record 7,813 visitors in one day on Wednesday (see this post)
