In this article it states thart in the last 28 years it has only rained 3 times on a July 2nd. Any bets that this July 2nd will be the fourth? I wonder if these idiots plan for a rain possibility. I would love to see trashy walk up a soaked red carpet with a wet dirty gown on. Oh, image the BIG crowd that they will get on two rainy days at the concerts and wedding. But, Conlene said rain was good luck in her interview with Jenny Crwys-Williams - so let her get tons of good luck those two days. And, let's not forget the sun! What will the weather be on July 1 and 2? May 12, 2011
Albert and Charlene Wittstock II chose to unite in the open air. In 28 years, only three "July 2" was rainy. And it could get very hot "It can not rain in Monaco, had launched the sovereign, the joking last Sept. 15 by announcing his intention to celebrate his marriage to Charlene Wittstock, outdoors, in our columns. Admittedly, the date of the wedding - July 2 this year - set on the first day of summer, portends a bright sun ... But there are still uncertainties that will surely delight of bookmakers.
So what is it? The sky was sometimes angry Monaco last year at this time. According to statistics from Météo France, dating back to 1983, there are three "July 2" rain in 28 years. Very little. Nice weather station that records the effects of time on the department has identified slightly rainy day July 2, 1989 and July 2, 1996. Then July 2, 1997, a great rainy day have been reported rainfall of 5 mm or 5 liters of water per m2 date.
Alarming? Not really ... "We consider that everything that is below 10 mm, are light rains.Heavy rainfall is above the threshold of 10mm, "says Claude Leglantier delegate, Météo-France for the Alpes-Maritimes. But trouble always drops a party!
Under the sun ...
Conversely, it could be very hot ... As for sunshine, according to figures from Météo France, the ratios are quite rosy. On average, 600 minutes of sun in these days of early July. Record in 1980 and 1988, when the July 2, the sun shone for 840 minutes on the principality. Good omen for a marriage princely. We know that a canopy should be installed to house the courtyard of the Palace, parade when high heat or rain. But who can predict variations of the time? At fifty days of the royal wedding, anyone ...

It's worse than that SMT. Not just from Moanco, but they are having 6 girls and two boys selected from Cap d'Ail, la Turbie, Menton, Beausoleil, Peille Roquebrune. and not one from Monaco? No little cousins? This is really pathetic. They are trying so desperately to copy William and Kate. The wedding invitation looks like a card not a formal invitation. I love how they wrote "The Palace" on the top -- not even a person but a building. Protocol wise, they could have written it. with Albert's full name followed by, his title as sovereign and any of the other titles he chooses to use, followed by the invitation itself. His wedding planners are clueless. "The Palace" is as impersonal as it gets. They really have made this a three ring circus! It's hard to believe that they can't come up with small children from the extended families -- Kelly/LeVine/deMassey ... god forbid ... even the Wittstocks! Unbelievable! She is such a social climber I'm surprised that she didn't attempt to recruit kids from the other royal families -- there's a boat load of them these days!

Sure ... but one can only ask for this if one stays in touch with the other roayls between the major events. Not if they show up because they have to due to protocoll
And once the new Mother of the Nation seems to be quite anti-social ... she has to cast children from even outside Monaco. Isn't thts telling???

Today, the palace updated their wedding site with the wedding details that was published in the Monaco Matin articles. What's interesting is that they have a section called Wedding Partners - which is he sponsors of this tacky wedding. They have added some more sponsors. I wonder how much these companies are paying to have their name and products associated with this wedding or is Albert and Charlene getting these products for free? Either way, I have never seen this before - it is beyond tacky. May 12, 2011 Royal wedding of HSH Prince Albert II and Miss Charlene Wittstock Additional information ...
Souvenirs: The first official souvenirs will be on sale from 23 May, the full range will be available from the first week of June.
Partners to the Royal wedding:
PERRIER-JOUËT CHAMPAGNE: On both days the receptions will be accompanied by the most prestigious vintages from the Champagne House and a personalised vintage will also be served for this historic event.
MONTBLANC The Prince and Miss Wittstock will sign the registers with a pen specially designed by Montblanc. Set with precious stones, this unique piece will also display the couple's monogram.
LEXUS The couple have chosen a Lexus LS 600h L for the wedding ceremonies. Its hybrid system makes this car truly exceptional for its low CO2, NOx and particle emissions for its level of performance and comfort. It is currently undergoing conversion.

Well his parents are dead and we know that who invites, has to pay the bill. we know that the whiteshocks don't have a dime to their name and wouldn't even be able to pay for the wedding shoes of the bride. And Albert will probably not pay either but have the state pay for it. DUe to Rainiers will, the palace belongs to whoever is ruling Monaco and is no longer private property. thus since the state is paying you could consider the palace as pars pro toto and therefore it is correct. I think I read somewhere on it though the chamberlain invites, which is really odd as this sounds a bit like the secretary is inviting for the bosses wedding. Better would have been Caro as the eldest sister invites or the two sisters invite, but since this is a business deal and not a real wedding, I guess the secretary is an apt choice.

"Une loi pour rendre fériés les 1er et 2 juillet"! that's nothing extraordinary in Monaco. they do that all the time. Whenever there is a change in public holidays, they need to have a law so the workers will be paid. It also defines the degree , like who is allowed to work, whether shops are closed all day or are allowed to open for a few hours. This year the May holiday was reported from Sunday to Monday, so school in Monaco started a day later then in France where it was a normal work day. they had a law to do that too. Doesn't mean though that each year will be public holiday on those dates

They probably modeled their invitation after the British one - they are very similar. In William and Kate's invitation the chamberlain invited the guest also.

I certainly will be there, but not at the wedding, unless they send the police around and handcuff me to some security rail... I wouldn't joke about that. I really think the palace will start using gestapo methods to get people to show up in the crowds at this wedding. One official already admonished those filing for Monaco citizenship who didn't show up at the balcony to greet Albert and Trashlene. So, they might start saying if you use any services in Monaco, you have to be in the crowd for the wedding. They need a pack crowd for the cameras and I think they will go to any means to get it. They DO NOT want another National day scenario - a sparse crowd to greet the future Princess Trashlene. They are not that stupid to realize that Charlene is not well liked. LOL can't wait I'm sure I will find a camera to talk into and find a paper to publish any written threats. I'll be sitting on packed bags anyways so I don't care about any sanctions

LOL I can just imagine that the weeding dress will be more resembling of a F1 suit with all the logos plastered over the dress. I wonder whether the dentist and the surgeon will also get their name listed. Wouldn't it be a riot if they had a section stating face of the bride: Dr. XXX; Bridal teeth: Dr med dent XXXX, BUst by Dr.XXX implants by XXX

They probably modeled their invitation after the British one - they are very similar. In William and Kate's invitation the chamberlain invited the guest also. the souvenirs as well. there was a discussion about them not having Kate and wills portrait on. They did receive positive feedback, so they hope to get the same. they forget though that the entire wedding was in the same style as the souvenirs: nothing superfluous without looking like a paupers wedding. this one is more a patchwork of coaties scrapbook plus the add on they got from the Indian wedding planners who modified the one from a few weeks ago. It's all copy cat, somebody elses thoughts and nothing that reflects the people involved or the taste of the couple. This reminds me of the + 40 millon Euros property that I have been recently invited to with the kids so they could give a concert. Funny thing was that in spite of all the space and money: they only had half a grand piano in a drafty through passage...and the refreshments were pathetic, not mentioning the manners of the hosts...

Better would have been Caro as the eldest sister invites or the two sisters invite, but since this is a business deal and not a real wedding, I guess the secretary is an apt choice. Albert has a governing council which could have been on the invitation since in Albert's case it is a state wedding. Having a non-person invite people is stupid. I would like to have seen Rainier and Grace's invitation out of curiosity. The Queen never directly orders her subjects to do anything which is why the Chamberlain is commanded to do it. It is considered a huge insult to turn down the Queen so she does not do the direct inviting. In Albert's case it could have read that the National Council invites the so and so's . In place of "The Palace". At least it would have made more sense. JMO

Rented attendants and paid wedding sponsors. What a high-class event! Is Albert not the godfather for anyone's children, but Caroline's and maybe Stephanie's? And those children are all grown now. I remember Victoria's wedding (the one that inspired this rented, sponsored, street fair circus) and she had all of her godchildren as her attendants. It was really neat and interesting how she had all these future kings and queens in her wedding. The rented attendants really underscore that these two have no friends in Monaco or elsewhere. Also, this is a huge slap at Nicole and Eric/Alexandre. Albert probably should have Alexandre as a page boy, but he doesn't want to go anywhere near that land mine. This is what happens when you publicly and privately disrespect your children.
