I just hope he gives her the time she needs and is open to accept any result.
Hopefully the doctors (if she allows) give him honest updates and hopefully he gets help himself - it is a really difficult situation for him and difficult + dangerous for them as a family and especially for the kids. They need support as a family. Hope he realizes that and does not expect the doctors to quickly find out what kind of pills she needs to go back to business as usual.
Could it be he is kind of co-dependent? and still in the phase where he tries to cover things?
It is not only her problem. It was mainly hers before they married and had kids. But now there is a family. And a country. And I really hope that the root will be found and solved. Whatever this will mean. And I hope he finds out why he was chosing her of all woman. There must have been signs much earlier he ignored. Why??
Sure - she was light entertainment and time was running out to find another woman. But why not light entertainment without disorders?

Well apparently he was always very protective of Steph, so that seems to be his thing. But again, I also think that in her case it would have been better to be open, than letting the public believe that she was at the wheel when her mother died. What family would allow that to go around. Protecting the dead instead of the living. And what was there to protect anyways. She had a stroke. It happens. End of. But no they kept the machinery going. All they had to do is publish the relevant sections of her post mortem. Everything else they could have left out. It would have spared her from decades of blame and constant questions from the media. Same goes for CW. Be open and be brief and clear. As to the rest, I don't see Albert joining a self help group. I think he has to and can fall back on his sisters, one for emotional the other for practical support. There is also Virginia gallico, if she is still alive. Or pater penzo.

But why not light entertainment without disorders? time besides he is not the one in therapy, she is, so he most like will find out nothing. At the end he might find out if he will be getting divorced or not. but beyond that?

He could be making a contradictory claim about their relationship to reassure her and/or the kids (or others) that the marriage is not on the rocks. If he came right out with that, it would throw her over the edge and things would just get worse. He's clearly trying to minimize.

That. I cruised by it when going through the headlines daily. I had already read Richistan when it came out. Which I recommend. Money is a dirty secret for many, because if they talked about it then we would all see how it was not all acquired in a legitimate way and we would turn away and not consider these people very highly. They want the perch and the distancing from their origins because they know deep down that they are frauds imo.

Isn't that called impostor syndrome? Anyways I think how you live with the wealth is also due to education and upbringing. My friend had rich parents. If you didn't know, you wouldn't be able to tell. When she went on vacation to MC, she would never say that. She always said she was going to the south of France. Yes she had a car and a sports car as that, and yes she owned the studio she lived in, upgraded to a 3 piece and after she finished her studies bought one in Munich. So yes, when you got close, you knew there was money. And a significant amount, but her father made her from an early age take responsibility for it. And she had to take care of it all by herself, the buying, the selling etc. I actually met her at work. We were both working as students in the same comapny. She didn't have to do that and study, but she did. Her decision. Turned out we were neighbours, so she gave me a ride home on the days we were working together. Then we did other things together and became friends and I got a bit of insight into their family. Like most families all wasn't what it seemed on the outside. The house I lived in as a student, was mostly occupied by sons and daughters of. Most of them pretty wealthy, not super rich but rich or at least upper middle class. Some were there to study and in view of taking over the family business. And not all were happy to do so, but it was expected of them, regardless of what they wanted or if they had the talent for it. Some, like my friend, were like the rest of us, others were only on about which clothes to wear, which clubs to go to etc. And others were utterly miserable. None of them was into hard drugs though. Typical experimenting with weed when young. I knew some of the parents, and it was always the same kind of parents producing the same kind of children. There were parents who would buy their kids an education, because they couldn't get over the fact that their off spring just didn't inherit any brains. The kids are still getting away on hot air and the parents network and influence. I just wonder what will happen when the parents die. Will it all collapse?

I too have great recollections of a friendship with the then newlywed wife of a *Stuttgart beer family member. They were so charming, so lovely and in love. Low-key and no showiness. She was like a big sister. We did tea time, and museum visits, hit the ribbons boutique and went sailing, etc. She was educated and trained as a graphic designer, if memory serves. No haughtiness whatsoever. He was more German however where punctuality was concerned (I arrived for Nutcracker at bell time after finishing a runway show 45 minutes away and cabbing it!), and didn't like to find us emotional over anything when we chatted about men. In fact, when I became the object of affection of a new person he didn't approve of, that was it. Plus, they moved to NYC. So he could be more expeditive. She was pregnant, so some of it was understandable. She was a doll. So yes, great attitude about wealth on the whole. They had come for him to spend a few years more or less overseeing his family's investments through a local real estate firm. Different days. It was my 2nd or 3rd year in that city, and I had studied German and visited Germany before that. I got to practice German. Isn't that called impostor syndrome? Maybe it was her sinuses...? Oh dear. Where to start with that one? Is that guest mistaken and they mean the wedding? Well, it's very passive-aggressive, to be sure. But it's also on one hand an admission of a lack of means to convey what's wrong constructively, as in no dialogue. On the other hand, it's an awful display unless she had post-partum and couldn't control herself. The fact she didn't get up to tend to herself concerns me a bit but we've seen where she's bent on making him look bad no matter what, whether it's by sabotaging their more public outings, or highjacking the narrative with her unexplained public absences. Quite frankly, I don't even think there's a gameplan other than to disrupt. That seems to be the new thing at all levels of power - disrupt and get nothing done, watch everything take a degringolade. She has a share in responsibility for drawing attention to herself, and a genuinely distraught person swings back between trying and not being able to, whereas her regular effort is always to be underwhelming. There's a limit somewhere. Clearly, neither she or Albert care much for their own dignity.

Can you maybe copy paste the article as it wants me to become a member to read it and I am not paying that amount of cash just to read one article. Paca, this morning I could read it without becoming a member for some reason. Now I can't open it without. But I found the german reprint/ translation of that article. www.fr.de/panorama/fuerstin-charlene-monaco-martyrium-ungluecklich-royals-palast-albert-91146980.htmlLEIDENSWEG DER FÜRSTIN Martyrium von Monaco: Fürstin Charlène seit Jahren unglücklich – Neue Details bekannt Von Andreas Apetz Charlène von Monaco wirkte in letzter Zeit sehr betrübt.

And then there is the other one, looking absolutely fine, but claiming in hindsight to have been suicidal at that specific occasion. Personally, when I am upset I wouldn't manage to do my make up or hair, or have it done. Suicidal is more than upset. Also when you have been crying real tears, your eyes get puffy and your nose turns red. But then again she was probably silver screen suicidal. Anyways, me when I am in tears or close to, I don't dress up and go out. I have seen Steph once collapse in public at St Devote. It was disturbing to watch, not being able to help or do sth about it. Eventually she was whisked off by Mme Gallico and in the paper was an article of her having been admitted to the lung clinic for rest. But still, it was weird to see Rainier and Albert continue and also how cold Rainier seemed to react towards his daughter.
I still couldn't read the article, but wasn't there an incident with a member of the BRF present and her crying or am I mixing that up and it is a Diana story?

She might have been crying because she lost á pregnancy. We known that it was very hard on her. Could also explain why Albert said nothing.

If that would have been the case, she could have excused herself and not attended or left with an excuse. It is very difficult to sit by and do nothing. Personally I would have asked either Albert or her if she was ok, depending which one was seated closer. And then tried to do sth about it. Like take her to another room and talk to her or whatever. But as a guest I would have felt very uncomfortable and Albert was a very bad host to allow this. You do not expose your guests to a crying wife. Especially not in their position.

Sykes's article is far from perfect. He's a stickler on some things, yet he reprises BS about her youth swimming as cause for ear infection and a faulty timeline about when she left. It's a lot of rehashing and the only new thing being hearsay about her crying through dinner. He's British I think, with some bias. He basically says nothing others haven't already speculated about. I think the ear/swimming things sounds like paca's earlier theory and I find some of his expressions oddly familiar. I used to read him but dropped off. I don't enjoy him anymore but kudos for getting a somewhat hip blog like Daily Beast to care at all for royalty though it's mostly always British. I thought Daily Beast was American 🤔

Maybe it's their aphrodisiac to humiliate each other at the worst time, to make the other uncomfortable under great strain. They could use therapy. If that would have been the case, she could have excused herself and not attended or left with an excuse. It is very difficult to sit by and do nothing. Still that is very hard - first that she felt so bad she was crying at lunch. Something was obviously wrong. Second that PA didn't do anything. They should have excused her from lunch.
I agree with Paca on this one.

Respectfully though, why like all things put it off since her watershed wedding? With all the means at their disposal, why can they not have even achieved self-countenance by now if it isn't that they must really somehow enjoy the displays and subsequent attention? In all the years, how do you leave something like this unattended?! Untreated? Franchement. Still that is very hard - first that she felt so bad she was crying at lunch. Something was obviously wrong. Second that PA didn't do anything. They should have excused her from lunch. I agree with Paca on this one.
