She says that if she weren’t a royal, she would have wanted to be an engineer. “The practicalities of how things work, I think, was always interesting as far as I was concerned. But I think it was a little bit early in the sort of scheme of things to have gone down that route.”
Instead, she has been championing women in engineering and science jobs through her patronages. “I’ve certainly enjoyed being part of trying to encourage more girls to look at engineering as a realistic career.”
This is from 05.05 (I'm a little slow these days), but nonetheless as with many royals taking to videoconferencing whether Monaco, Sweden, Norway, etc - I think for frontiners' sacrifice and their nobility in spirit being recognized and acknowledged by royalty who extend them momentary membership by the privilege of a call is simply wonderful.
Also, beautiful peonies 👌🏼 (and that mirror! Oof!) 💖
Princess Anne (and Edward) is looking more and more like the best of HM's offspring. Grit, or character, like no other. Commanding of loyalty, a team player. A woman who stands by her choices. If there were ever a candidate for interim regent. I wonder if she's had a good POV of how things will go forward one day, when men are back in charge and with nothing to conquer, no war to wage. Will it in fact be a parade of figureheads backed by powerbrokers who will hold up the vestiges to lead aspirants to drop their purse for the privilege of rubbing shoulders. None will have the wholesomeness of a young woman thrust into the role and bravely holding her kingdom together through hard times, upholding traditional values of faith and family. The wolves, product of the same powerbrokers and their greed, are at the door. The refreshing thing would be to denounce their system, so the institution can sublimate and survive in a new dimension. Flush them and send them back to their starting point in the mud they so love carrying with them. Because if you don't, they will survive but you won't. Just a thought.
I think there's a missed opportunity to reward Anne by amending the Counsellors of State to include female offspring. It just seems obvious that this would be a great place to start gender-based assouplissement.
Anne, out and about, after an absence from the Christmas church outing. Good to see she's back in fine form and seems unhindered by the overseas drama. It's her second outing this year, I think. Working away!
