If you are interested, there are several books available on the internet about Monaco. Both fiction and non-fiction. There is for example: - vie et aventures de la princesse de Monaco by Alexandre Dumas (the one from the three musketeers, definitely fiction this one)
- Monaco and Monte Carlo. Old, but possibly more interesting because of it
- Monaco and its gaming tables
- The fall of prince Florestan of Monaco
- The romance of Monaco and it's rulers

- Monaco et ses princes
- Mademoiselle of Monte Carlo (fiction again)
- Monaco, ses origines et son histoire
- Several of prince Albert I's books/reports
- at least one book about princess Grace (apparently already in the public domain)
- Monaco au point de vue international (seems to be from a law point of view at first sight, but I may be wrong)
- and so on...
So if you're interested go and have a look at openlibrary.org, the Gutenberg project (gutenberg.org), google books and their friends. Read and know more than the current princess of Monaco ;D

That's a brilliant thread idea, Grinmir! I'm off to start a similar one now that you've given me a good idea

i suppose this is miscellaneous, but hard hitting about the obsession with royalty. Quote from article: After Vancouver photographer Dina Goldstein saw her daughter become princess-obsessed, and then watched her mom be diagnosed with cancer, she got the idea to explore what might happen after the happy ending. I'm putting this here, unless we have somewhere a thread about "American Royalty" but there's a new biography on Jackie Onassis (hence the Monaco tie-in here) and so far, it's not flattering. She slept with her husband's brothers!!??!! Beurk!! Cads & Trollops

It would be cool to create a thread for the Kennedys and Jackie. A lot to talk about there! Maybe in the opine anything about non royal section?
