The theme (seriously, a "royal" wedding with a theme): What Wedding?!?? How do we know? See the invitation The song: Jack Johnson's Better Together - (seriously) sung by the bride on tape - was it because Elton John refused to sing? Or was his ex Gwyneth Paltrow unavailable?
Where: Spetses, Greece - Cathedral of Ayios Nikolaos (St. Nicholas) When: August 25, 2010 Who: Tatiana (Smuggy) Blatnik - age debatable and the 40 year old Nikolaos de Grecia (Gargamel)
Interesting facts: The bride had "worked" for DvF but Angel Sanchez did the wedding gown. DvF did not grace the bride and groom with her presence but did design the "mermaid" bridesmaid gowns. Spetses has carriage rides that the bride could use to make a "royal" entrance, a fancy hotel for the royals to "take over" and a large royal contingent since it's a fancy part of Greece. Lots of crowds and applause!
Let's see those trashy pictures!

I actually rather liked that wedding, it was such a nice change to see that not even the bride and groom took it seriously. ;D And I daresay it was more fun to have a party in a Greek tavern than a gala dinner in a palace - the royal guests get to do the latter far more often than the former, after all. Either you go the properly formal route and do it like Vicky and Daniel, or (I expect) Wills and Waity, or you do it like these two. If you try for a bit of fun while still making it a state occasion, you get what's going to happen in Monaco in July. Niko and Tatiana could have had street artists without problem and it would just have been another bit of insanity that fit with the overall theme.
