LOL a paid PR piece to counter the one they worte a few months back? Anyways note that trashy bought the entire Akris collection again as she is wearing the costume to go with the coat. Also note how close and comfy Caro is standing next to Albert and the gap between trashy and him. Steph is on trashys side, but doesn't look like she used to next to trashy, but more comfy within the pic than trashy. To me the pic looks as if they have cut a deal, that Caro will remain heir, there will be no baby, the sisters will get treated with due respect and trashy will get to stick around for a little while longer as long as she shows better work ethics and while the Monegasques don't pressure too hard for an heir.

Now that would be something to be thankful for!

well, when you look at the pics, look at the way Caro is still being showcased and the fact that this NH her regiment was being honoured all points to sth going on bhind the scenes. IMO Albert has realized how much he needs someone like Caro by his side to consult and discuss things with. He can't do that with trashy or anyone else. No one would give him their opinion. Except IMO Caro. Up to a certain point though as after all he is the ruling prince as well as her bro and she is pretty traditional when it comes to protocol. NOt strict, but still more traditional than the rest of them.

I recall growing up, how Caroline was THE reference for girls, in style, beauty even archetypal tragedy. For as much as you can judge from afar, she had a strong personality, was a survivor. However now, with pink glasses off, the reality appears to be someone who is driven and wouldn't stop at selling Monaco out if she thought she could achieve her short-sighted goals for herself and her children. This is maybe the problem with women who have never gone out in the world without a safety net or been sheltered too long, is that their take on reality can have disastrous consequences for the future. Making alliances with people whose loyalties ultimately lie well outside Monaco means that though she may be carried along a bit of the way by them, in the crunches, she would be dropped like so many aristocrats after they've outlived their usefulness to people who never stop climbing. Interlopers prey on the discontent of well-positioned people that are frustrated in their aspirations. I think that although she may think she's in possession of all her senses and faculties, she's still vulnerable to being flattered and finessed by much hungrier people. I don't think a "deal" should be made AT ALL for the line to be carried by her. I would have, once, when we all questioned what the hell Albert was doing. But prima facie is almost always wrong whereas it's what often seems mundane that turns out to be lethal. I think she has strayed too far from her roots to be any good to Monaco. Her ambition or ego may be blinding her. I don't know her intimately but I'm sure she thinks she has superceded her mother, is overconfident of her influence and doesn't let herself feel. Bottom line is she may not be fit to judge well for herself what is for the greater good of Monaco. That's my unsollicited, uneducated and biased opinion. In the end, Fate will prevail, whatever it turns out to be.
