By the by, having a NATO seatmate on a flight last week was super entertaining by virtue of a very nice person, contrived or not. If contrived, let's not do that too often though, unless my professional opinion is of any interest and then, we can dispense with the surprises. 😊

Who the hell is this horsey-face dragqueen and how dare she upset Mario Dumont? I don't follow domestic national politics much, tbh. Not like my mom did. And my mom was no nationalist either, although she represented well the tribe with her intelligence and long lineage. My NATO friend was curious about where I stood, and I think I frustrated him with my answer recently. Nevertheless, when the issue of scapegoating Quebec for flaws found throughout the country, I become outraged along with all other debaters in the current campaign. Did she attack the internal law of any other province? No, ofc not. Was she peddling tropes? Yes. It's not surprising considering she's occasionally with the Trump-loving WSJ. So what gives? This is a federal election, not a provincial one. She should be more subtle with her agenda, especially for a supposedly impartial statitian. And remember that Quebec is the midwife of Canada. No Quebec, no Canada. I don't know how misinformed people are when they arrive here or how myopic they are to not know the history of where they live. How totally ignorant.

In light of stranded Haitian migrants under a Texan bridge, I'd like to point out the existing channels whereby for example, my university is replete with staffers and students from Haiti. It's basically and well-run I might add, during the summer period by them. (Though a little less cricri in my room next time, with that weird sticky stuff they used to put on my car...tsk tsk). Clearly, Quebec has room for them.

Céline a mal à l'âme.

Quebec's most famous citizen is explaining that muscle spasms are crippling her return. That raises a flag with me. Anecdotal : I was once hospitalized for muscle spasms, as it were. And at the time, it left everyone confused. I was knotting my bowels, pardon the details. This led to my mother saving my life. What happened was I was being poisoned. I landed in hospital for weeks, but it continued while I was there, thanks to daily deliveries from Yitz's deli... Afterwards, the same "friend" offered to have my prescription fulfilled and I ended up with 100mg of chlordiazepoxide (a muscle anti-depressant?) instead of 10mg doses 4 times a day. Talking to my mother on the phone, my formidable mother said to me: Daughter, are you having a breakdown? I said: I don't know. She said: What are you doing differently? Me: I'm on meds She: Stop the meds Only a mother like mine could supercede the advice of a doctor. I later went to another doctor, hubbie will remember his Dr Steinberg, and he said that with only one glass of alcohol, I would have been dead. During my fog, there was a pesky pool party invitation from the Yitz's crowd... All this to say, nasty people seeing Céline Dion bereaved, her gateway husband gone to guard her fortune against them, and I put nothing past that crowd. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/celine-dion-cancels-north-american-tour-health-issues-1285461/

Expanding about the reference to Toronto's Brookfield bailing out Jared Kushner's 666 building, it seems the company has a stratagem for rigging outcomes: Now I'm a bit player, having only an estimated $42+ million commission & my intellectual property stolen, but a country like Qatar ended up being dragged into the bribe they had refused to pay Trump, by Brookfield's manoeuvring over their heads as seems to be the M.O. . Is this then where that group of securities/boiler room fraudsters have institutionalized their laundromat? ffj-online.org/2013/03/11/paper-world-of-brookfield-asset-management/

Reading this morning about Molson's troubles, I recall how I didn't expand earlier on my dislike for Geoff Molson's wife who I called "a humongous dummy". Anecdotal: we used the same dog park in Toronto, where everyone knew each other. At the time, I repped artists though I was never one to talk shop or make pitches while walking my dog. She however made a point to talk about her amateur hobby, and one day asked me about finding a studio so she could paint outside of her home 🙄. I had an artist in Mirvish village so he came up with a scoop and a contact. I titled my note "Artist Studio" and on my dog walk, seeing she wasn't at the park and you had to pass her house, I left the note with the infos on her car windshield. The next time I saw her, she recounted being "terrified" at the note, though she specifically asked for a scoop. Moron. Already I had gone out of my way for an obvious cheapskate. And this is how she was thanking me... I politely avoided her after that since she was one of these troublemaker hysterics. www.lesoleil.com/2022/06/09/entente-de-principe-a-lusine-molson-avec-le-syndicat-des-teamsters-e73344d3381da861a6df197dfc62a0fdMolson also has an interesting arrangement on Ontario Place over its concert amphitheater... On that latter note, John Tory seems to be a pivot as to its future: Oh why not, let's do a little more karmic accounting:

Pope Francis is coming next week to Quebec. I for one will pray for the relief of his ailments, when he reaches Ste-Anne de Beaupré. I found this interesting today: www.politico.com/news/2022/07/23/pope-francis-canada-apology-residential-schools-00047528While this is inscribed in a much wider scope, in international law that doctrine is recognized as the bedrock of iniquity. But there were two doctrines, for the two rival kingdoms. I'll dig them up in a minute. If humanity was smart and quick to recognize the destruction we're going into, with the planet on fire or drowning, we would reach across and make amends because all the knowledge of how to handle what's going on is initially held by the indigenous. Ask Australia. So from that view, would it be so much to recognize we were wrong? And from the point of view of a born Catholic descended from one Iroquois ancestor, I can also attest that prior to the 1800s and the gist of the scientific revolution, Catholics and indigenous respected each other, fought together and... married each other, back when valour and bravoury mattered among great warriors. I think our white race has grown fat and slow. I think our brown race has sunk into despair. It's definitely time to remember having dignity matters. I'm trying to come to QC. Everything is sold out and I await COVID test results from crossing the border recently.

The papal visit is proceeding very well. I second those - the sexual abuse victims (who didn't end up in mass graves) and their descendants, however that want their hearts spoken to. The Church historically recognized that aboriginals had "souls" (see above), much to their credit... The survivors need to be believed, need to have the sanctity of their person recognized. They don't need legalese or surgical apologies, although responsibility does need to be adequately placed I agree. We can't have progress without lucidity. The spectacle of how warmly and friendlily the pope has been welcomed is a good illustration of how aborigènes approached Europeans long ago. It was curiosity, openness and bemusement. Never did they think these funnily dressed absurd creatures could be vicious, because they saw them through the lens of their own eyes and motives. Europeans penetrated what could be termed as a paradise - a place of intelligence, of justice, of land and resource management, of society, etc and of its occasional shocks. What we must measure is what has been our impact upon entering a type of paradise that is a dress rehearsal for heaven. www.lesoleil.com/2022/07/27/le-crime-dont-le-pape-na-pas-parle-8765d8dc9ec34a2b7a48958d1ff53a13

I think Justin Trudeau is the last person who should remonstrate against the Church taking its time to apologize, in light of his own father's program as PM that lagged since 1969 until today. The occasion of this reconciliation is not an invitation to whitewash his father's and his minister Jean Chretien's role in continuing the policy of "Indian residential schools". Please. Meanwhile, the pope did get an opportunity to strike the right chord today with his interlocutors 👏🏼 I would again request that the UN status of Living National Treasure be bestowed, in order to redress the tort and reinfuse dignity into the belongers. I feel we're definitely on the right track. www.journaldequebec.com/2022/07/27/en-direct-le-pape-arrive-a-quebec-suivez-tous-les-developpementswww.facinghistory.org/vies-volees/chapitre-8/livre-blanc-livre-rouge

Gun violence in Montreal, where people are being gunned down on the streets regularly these days, is not about to be addressed anytime soon. I used to worry about Bill Blair (and still do) but staffers in Minister Guilbault's office - which I contacted after my car was illegally seized in 2019 by crooked cops in DDO, and after the employee at the pound warned me they would auction it off before our day in court - inspire no confidence in me whatsoever. I was foolish to tell her office I would sue the city, which only precipitated the illegal disposal of my SUV. Not only had my court notices not been mailed to the address I provided, but when I got my day in court 2 years later(!), the charge was withdrawn because the crooked cops (one, who I had on video), had placed me where and when I was not, and I had witness and photographic evidence to that. My Volvo SUV was long gone by then. This was all a setup by the Jacobson & Rizzuto clans who have the local Montreal police in their pockets. Jacobsons are arms dealers, among many of their louche activities (such as the boiler room fraud I was going to expose as a witness in a US Florida court case). Gangs don't fear a corrupt SPVM police imo, because they serve the same "masters". C'est beau ça 😏 . . . *Update: "irréprochable" 😂, the city's response. Start by purging your crooked cops, that'll change the twisted police culture that repulses potential rookies. Then stop protecting dirty money, especially from arms dealers who supply gangs. Don't mind me if I don't tune in for your "big" announcement tomorrow.🙄 ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1908147/montreal-quebec-guilbault-police-violence-arme-feu-mesure-annonce
