In the news this time Henri's son, Prince Jean, extending condolences to his former best man at his wedding. Interesting to read also how he wasn't too too nice about the obvious kind gesture done to his handicapped brother, but its another story. I for one wonder if that family are the actual landlords of the French government at one of the palaces. I recall a poster on Figaro when I was "America" then (and still amnesiac), who loved Biarritz and poker, telling me something to that effect. Interesting too, about their connection to Chartres, the city my mother's family left for good in 1628, for here. I digress. www.noblesseetroyautes.com/hommage-duc-de-vendome-a-cousin-duc-heritier-de-wurtemberg/

Baccarat. Not poker. I welcome an endorsement btw, from a gambling man. Admit Vivry is very close to "Visiteuse" 😂

I'm putting this opinion about the G7 here by reason of its location, Biarritz, this year. (I feel that Sicily and Charlevoix were also oddly chosen after some comments here maybe, but it's not about that).
Bravo to Macron. For the Amazon, for Iran and not letting the posture-challenged Boring Johnson detract. It was sheer mastery. It's not often I have occasion to praise, not with the Gilets Jaunes handling, but that was a nice recovery for Macron. He's back.

A scuffle at the Carcassonne basilica where if you're lucky enough, you'll hear a heavenly song while standing in front of the medieval statue of Mary. The occasion was a memorial to king Louis XVI. www.20minutes.fr/faits_divers/2703799-20200126-carcassonne-royalistes-antifas-viennent-mains-avant-messe-louis-xvi?xtor=RSS-176(My family was here already and stayed, however Louis-Philippe Count of Vaudreuil who we served had gone back to France and tried to save the king and queen against the French revolutionaries. Ironic, when you think he'd just liberated the Americans from the monarchy. Then, he was afforded refuge in Britain, France's sworn enemy who he'd just combatted in America, before finally returning to France. It goes to show you sometimes how lines are not drawn in stone and history is fudgy.)

Has anyone heard how the Fondation Saint-Louis is turning the cameras on Prince Jean and his family, terrorizing his children by killing a pet chicken and basically harassing them? Anyone knows security cameras can be hacked and access sold to voyeurs - does the foundation hope to turn his family into some dark web reality show? So much so the prince uprooted his family from the château d'Amboise where he welcomed Macron and where his dad is buried. Whoever lurked on them really need to get a life.
