COOKING
Apr 20, 2011 2:26:21 GMT -5
Post by irishthanhy on Apr 20, 2011 2:26:21 GMT -5
I cook a lot but hate measuring (this isn't the best thing).
I make a curry dish where I cut the chicken into chunks coat them (liberally) in a flour mixture (add curry and other spices and onion/garlic to taste) then cook in a small amount of oil (chili oil for extra heat) I add a can of coconut creme and then rice (as much as you want). I then serve this over greens (I like spinach.)

Please! The last thing we (or better say, Monaco) need is that she get pregnant in their honeymoon... I feel like a horrible human being for this: I hope they never have children. I'd like to see Caroline or her kids take a turn at the throne. They'd actually bring glamor to Monaco.

[quote author=creativemind board=opinion thread=36 post=257 I'm so ticked at the Catholic Church now. There are many reason but for now I'm trying to get my son baptized -- it's been hell since my prospective godparents -- my cousin and his fiance aren't married yet -- and my cousin doesn't have a church he goes to where she lives. I've been given the 10th degree by the priest to make sure they meet with the church's approval. >:(Seriously -- I was born and raised Catholic, went to Catholic University and even was admitted into Alpha Sigma Nu - the Jesuit honor society -- CATHOLIC ENOUGH) Tired of their b.s. You should hear my banter with this priest -- as in the church needs to get its house in order blah blah. Needless to say my son won't be baptized Catholic!
Some priest are just not that good at their job. Sorry for all that you're going through. I'm lucky to have an awesome parish.

I'll transcribe it later. The quote in my signature comes from that video. She says she tries to fit swimming into her schedule and talks about what a big event it is (I think...this is all from memory.).

I figured this would be a thread with her "stories" regarding her swimming. You know, the myth and the truth and whatever.

AdminNoteSummary of items mentioned in this thread, in addition to the above - Did Charlene really qualified for the Olympics as the palace states? - Information provided to show that this is a LIE (see post).
AdminNote: Changed title of the thread and included a summary of items listed in the tread

I made some quick icons which I will keep here. To use icons: Click on [Profile] in the forum navigation bar then "Modify profile" and under "Personal Information" there is a box for an avatar url. Simply input the url of the image.

I wasn't sure where to post this (sorry). I make silly little things and wanted to share them for you to use and maybe help those of you who don't know how to use them. Those two are quotes from Charlene (more by other royals can be found here) that I've cropped to be used in signatures. If there is an image you want to be used as a signature you go to [Profile] and then Modify Profile (top, left of the middle of the page) and under "Personal Information" you can add a signature. To put an image just put the url of the image surrounded by [/img]. This also works in posts. (Sorry to everyone who already knows this. I just wanted to help people who are less Internet savvy.)

I think when she got demoted to plain old "Highness" she stopped getting paid by the state but still gets an allowance from her father. She supposedly took the demotion to focus on her career.

I was wondering... Has PA contributed some of his own pocket's $$$$$$$ to Ireland's bailout? Let me take an uneducated stab at that one: no.

I have a serious thing for tennis players so please excuse my drooling. I'm still trying to figure out the logic behind Charlene's apperances or lack thereof. They trot her out whenever there's something international to do (the bigger the faux pax of bringing her along, the better), but for something sports-related in Monaco she's nowhere to be seen Seriously, you'd think that they'd be sure to include her on the sports related stuff because it's pretty much her entire resume.

I thought it would be nice to have a post of royal blogs we recommend. I recommend: Madhattery!* The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor* The First Waltz- Historical royal pictures
*I do suggest you keep any opinions about the people wearing the hats/fashion out of any comments. Order of Splendor had an incident where someone posted stuff and I was actually annoyed because even though I do love to hear the truth about peeps I go there to read about the clothes and you know there are more than a few sugars there.

You are the first member to register Irishthanhy! Yeah, we do not have any dancing bananas yet, but if we did you'll get one. I'm quick like that. I'm always up for supporting royal discussion. Did you intend this to be mainly Monaco?

Hello!

I figured I might as well start a thread where we can all say hello and introduce ourselves and the whatnot. I'm irishthanhy virtually everywhere online. As for forums dealing with royalty have accounts on Royal Dish, The Royal Forums, and Luxaholics Anonymous (all as irishthanhy). I became interested in royalty through my love of history and it's grown from there. I don't have any real info to offer on any current royals but I've learned a fair amount about protocol, titles, and whatnot. I also run a royal related blog called Hipster Royals and am always looking for royal quotes. I freely admit that anything and everything I post may be incorrect and that my opinions are based on what little I know.
