"She has completed her Princess-training!!!!?!!!!!??
Kate is taking lessons from a top-diplomat (according to a German newspaper) to be able to TALK AND INTERACT with people on high level and have conversation with substance
- while CW thinks she is "ready for the job" cause she is dresses in Armani and appears in glossy magazines!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??
No French language, no improvement of her English, no culture, no politics - just fashion and pictures?
OMG - the Soviet Union collapsed because the government believed in the stuff their own papers wrote and totally lost contact with reality!
Monaco will be next if nothing happens.
I don't get this!!!
WHERE ARE THE FREE MEDIA IN THE WEST???
WHY THE TABLOIDS AND PAPERS WRITE ONLY SUGAR AND NOBODY DARES TO WRITE AND PRINT THE NAKED TRUTH!?
Honestly, no one writes much about Monaco anymore. Well not here in the USA. Just scandal headlines surface now and then. Since Grace passed, so did so much positive visibility about Monaco. Grace Kelly transformed herself into a Princess with much hard work. Grace loved the arts, literature, ballet, theater etc.. And promoting cultural events in Monaco seem like a work of love, something that was dear to her heart. She understood the arts, was educated in the arts. She loved the arts.
Today Monaco is known for its tabloid headlines despite all of the efforts of Princess Caroline. I don't know exactly why this is; perhaps this is because for many years Prince Rainier and Prince Albert did not have a consort, an official first lady.
So in regards to the upcoming nuptials, the press does not take Monaco seriously or the stories behind the marriage seriously. A reporter is dispatched to Monaco to do a story and probably the palace carefully selects publications that will produce a sugary story. Fluff pieces are written about a fluff principality. Grace’s marriage to Rainier helped transform a gambling den into a five star vacation destination with so many different cultural events. The cultural events are still there, but something is missing.
If the palace is promoting Charlene as the new Princess Grace, well I don’t think that is good strategy. It might have been better to approach Princess Charlene’s image in an understated way, quietly with fewer fashion photo shoots and less gilding. (Look at the new Duchess Catherine’s approach to her new position) Less is better, start small then let Charlene build her image slowly. That way her position or image is built on solid a solid foundation of experiences and accomplishments.
It seems as if there is a PR campaign to promote the new princess already done up, ready to go, too much icing on the cake. Mystique, where is it? Grace achieved respect as a European Princess after many many years of hard work and interacting with other royals, making friendships, accomplishments etc…
Grace did do fashion shoots in the palace, in the palace gardens and so on, but it seemed different. She just had “it”, Caroline has “it”. Some women are born with “it” and most of us are not.
