Does anyone here know Monagasques that can verify the reported abuses of the Monaco government at the Princess Grace of Monaco hospital Psyc Ward ? I don't think these people care? They will only care about such possible abuses if their livelihood is drastically affected.

Axelle, I was probably preparing one of my long post (I broke it up in two parts) when you posted this I posted this article in Albert's advisers threads since Eringer was a former adviser to Albert. Please feel free to discuss it there.

First, here's a recap of Monaco's football team progress: after being demoted from League 1 to League 2 because of their poor performance, the team is now at last place in League 2. So, can anyone please explain to me why a Russian billionaire wants to invest a couple of hundred million dollars in the team? Please explain this math to me. When the rumors first surfaced, they were quickly brushed off because why would anyone invest so much money in a really really losing team. This deal really speaks toward Albert's ability to reign and what kind of future he is aiming for Monaco. I guess he wants to finish trashing it up to match his trashy wife and trashy marriage. The latest news:
From Nice Matin: Reconciliation expected between AS Monaco and the Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev Monday, December 5, 2011
While AS Monaco conceded defeat Friday the seventh of the season against Metz (0-2), behind the scenes, the record of recovery of the club by Dmitry Rybolovlev advance.
According to reports, a meeting is also scheduled for Monday between Russian billionaire and Prince Albert, before leaving for South Africa where the sovereign will attend the Durban summit on global warming. This interview could result in an agreement between the two parties to a participation of the businessman in the capital club.
From ASM football website: Meeting today between Prince Albert and Dmitry Rybolovlev While there was no news for several days of Dmitry Rybolovlev, the Russian billionaire interested in a takeover of the AS Monaco, Nice-Matin reported that the discussions behind the scenes and could advance quickly know an epilogue. Indeed, the daily understands that local Rybolovlev will meet on Monday the Prince Albert II on a stake in AS Monaco's Russian tycoon. Still according to Nice-Matin , the interview could lead to an agreement, an announcement could be made so quickly. Recall that the AS Monaco, despite the largest budget in Ligue 2 is the last championship with four points behind the first non-relegation zone.

LOL, when Albert bought the Con Artist now Princess to Monaco no one in the Monaco media did an expose on Who Is Charlene? But, they are going crazy about finding more about Dmitry - which they should. Does Albert even care that this man went to prison for murder? He should. Any ideas what Albert is giving this man in return for investing up to 200 million euros ($2.7 billion) in the worst time in the 2nd League? From Monaco Matin
AS Monaco: Who is Dmitry Rybolovlev?by Julien Crévelier Thursday, December 8, 2011 Dmitry Rybolovlev here at the 63rd Gala of the Red Cross in August.
Approached to invest in the club, very discreet Dmitry Rybolovlev is introduced in the Principality in recent years. Where is it? What does he do? Answers ...
Often described as one of the most discreet Russian oligarchs, Dmitry Rybolovlev, 45, became in a few days the person whose name is on everyone's lips. Probably because part of the future of the AS Monaco, wounded beast, may soon be concentrated in his hands.Rybolovlev, future boss of the ASM? On track, the case could be completed by the truce, after the return of the Prince of his trip to South Africa where he attended the UN conference on global warming.
Unclear whether Rybolovlev, it has the "green fiber". One thing is certain, the man who comes from the cold, was born in Perm at the foot of the Ural Mountains, made his fortune in fertilizers by the operation of Uralkali, a company specializing in potash. In 2007 to come into the circle of the 100 richest people in the world of Forbes magazine, he has not left. Last year, Rybolovlev sold a majority stake of the company against a very large check. An episode for this man in extraordinary destiny, which conducted a few months in prison in 1996. The Russian news agency Itar-Tass reported when he was accused of involvement in the murder of an industrialist. It is bleached some time later.
A fortune estimated at 7.1 billion euros Collector of Old Masters, the father of two children currently at the heart of a divorce making a great noise in Geneva, is the head of a colossal fortune and assets scattered in Switzerland, the United States and Cyprus. But also in Monaco where it was introduced some years ago by a very well established in the Principality, including director of the SBM.In 2010, the former "Czar of potash" has acquired long-term leasing on behalf of his daughter, "the most expensive apartment in the world" once occupied by Edmond Safra, avenue d'Ostende, belonging to the State.
For the record, he said that a team would allow him permanently, if necessary at night to meet its financial transactions in the trading room of a bank.
Monaco resident, a man appears from time to time in the Principality, as the Red Cross Ball this summer. He also funded a dance in honor of the German dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, in late 2010.
This time, the AS Monaco, one of the jewels of the country, he could invest a portion of a fortune estimated at 7.1 billion euros.
The club, drifting sportingly and financially, needs a private investor. Luckily, Dmitry Rybolovlev loves football. We say passionate, even with a heart for the Premier League. That's probably why he wishes to rely on a sports manager Almighty, "the English".
For lovers disillusioned club, regardless of the choice of weapons, provided the ASM regains its former glory.

If you type "Albert Monaco" in german google you get only ONE very brief note that Albert of Monaco was born on March 14th. No article about the Green Prince, not a word about what he stands for or does ... but only one single link - while all the others are about Charlene in Hollywood, Charlene in Australia ect. I did not type "Charlene Monaco" - only "Albert". So Albert, congratulation! What you achieved in your reign is that a 700 years old Principality and your personality are hijacked by a plastic high school dropout who abuses handicaped people and black babies as background for self-promotion, destroying Monaco's and your image by spending your and Monaco's money: LinkCongratulation!!! Could you please wake up???

I was reading over on Eringer today and someone has suggested that there was another will. One that Rainier did shortly before his death. One that supposedly said that if Albert did not marry within a certain time frame, then the throne would go to Caroline. Sounds intriguing, but I doubt it. I cannot see Caroline allowing Albert to take the throne away since she always thought it should have been hers to begin with. Any thoughts on this?

Caroline always thought that? I thought she said she wanted Albert to marry ASAP because she wouldn't like to be the Sovereing?

An other question: if Caroline would be the sovereign Princess of Monaco, could she upgrade the Grimaldis to HRH from HSH? I remember this happened in Luxembourg when the heir Her Grand Ducal Highness Princess Charlotte married HRH Prince Felix of Bourbon Parma? Or are there any rules set by Rainier or someone else?

No she can not upgrade the Grimaldis as their is no HRH in Germany since 1918. Rainier could not set rules for a title that does not belong to him. The "owners" of the title were the Hannovers and it would be up to their head to decide, so in this case EA. But as it is not a title but in fact a name, Caroline can deicde to keep the name whilst she is married and after a divorce, if she so choses. As far as I know she can not even pass on her legit title to her daughter as the titles with the Grimaldis are solely passed on by the male line. Hence none of Antoinettes, Stephs or Caros children have a legit title. Alex has a name, but no title.
As to Caro wanting the throne, there have been public statements from Caro were she makes clear that she does not want the job, nor ever wanted the job; not for herself and not for her children. none of them would be suitable for the job anyways.

Thanks paca! The Bourbon-Parmas weren´t reigning either, so I thought there would be a possibility. I don´t think Caroline wants it and if she thought of it the kids would have had an other education and would be more serious. On the other side, I do think she had her moments where she wanted to kick Alberts bottom.

Here is an example of how Albert's priorities are more about his own gratification than cultivating opportunities to increase Moanco's economy. The 18th Annual GAIM International, conference for global investors, is being held in Monaco again from 18 - 20 June 2012 at Le Méridien Beach Plaza. Due to the staggering economy, every aspect of this year's conference has a been reduced - from three main days to now two days, from the Grimaldi Forum to a hotel, plus a lower number of attendees. Monaco is in competition with other great cities to host this conference, so it is necessary even in hard times that they woo these attendees and organizers. This would have been a great opportunities for Albert to host these attendees at the palace - perhaps forgo one of those back-to-back two reception/parties he hosted at the palace for the Golden Nymph television starlets. However, it seems that Albert has better more important priorities than this conference - soccer match in Poland and environmental conference in Brazil. Who knows, he may leave a video message. Albert could have given the opening remarks at the conference or even hosted an event at the palace tonight - perhaps enticing the attendees to come to Monaco a day early to attend the reception and perhaps do some sightseeing (i.e. spend more money in Monaco). Clearly, Albert has to realize that a current conference attendee can be a future tourist - and perhaps return with a family. But, this is another golden missed opportunity that Albert just doesn't understand. Why should he, Albert's and now his wife's lifestyle have not changed one bit due to the economy. Well, he and Charlene did reduce the number of sporting events that flew all over the world to attend - but that's about it. Below is some info about the GAIM, the conference and the type of people who will be in Monaco. Here is a short video highlighting the conference's atmosphere and its people. GAIM International was founded in 1994 and has become the world’s largest global alternative investment event, known for its high intellectual content as well as the range, quality and quantity of the global investors and allocators it attracts. It has been held in Geneva, Lausanne, Cannes and, most recently, Monaco. GAIM International is the annual global focal point for global investors to learn about the wider industry and the strategic debate within which alternatives operate, and secondly as an objective platform for the most interesting investment themes and best performing funds from around the world. In challenging times it is critical to come together and find solutions to urgent problems we face. GAIM International is the trusted global hub for that meeting & debate. Here is an excerpt from this article explaining some of the difficulties the conference and its participants are facing due to the staggering economy - all issues that Monaco should be aware of and perhaps address in trying to keep the conference in Monaco in the future.
Hedge fund managers in nervous mood for Monaco summit by Laurence Fletcher and Tommy WilkesReuters June 17, 2012
MONACO (Reuters) - Three days in sun-soaked Monaco won't be enough to stir hedge fund managers from their downbeat mood, made worse by a euro zone crisis that has prompted much soul-searching about the industry's future after years of lackluster returns.
Restaurateurs, bartenders and hoteliers getting ready to welcome an army of high-rolling financiers to this year's GAIM Conference in the Mediterranean principality could find money and mirth in short supply as recent poor performance weighs.
Delegates are expected to concentrate instead on serious debate on how best to weather a market storm that last year saw funds lose 5.3 percent, according to Hedge Fund Research, and which many fear could get worse as Greeks vote effectively on whether to leave the euro.
Many funds are also struggling to attract nervous investors, who have recently been disappointed by performance losses - a far cry from the industry's pre-crisis heyday five years ago, when many funds had to turn new clients away.
"The mood is pretty down," said Mark Wightman, head of strategy for Asia-Pacific at specialist technology group SunGard, who works closely with hedge fund managers and prime brokers.
"A number of people I've spoken to have said it's very hard to make money right now. The market is not acting rationally with the possible political interventions and many funds are struggling to raise assets."
This year's conference reflects the tougher times affecting the $2 trillion industry, with the main conference cut down to two days from three and the venue shifted from the huge Grimaldi Forum conference centre to a nearby hotel.
The themes for the two days of the main conference - 'Making money in volatile times' and 'New business strategies for a low return and high regulation era' - also reflect a more cautious mood.

Thanks for the info MyAdia. Albert should have been there. In fact may be he could have learned something that actually might help his failing country. Someone seriously needs to remove this man from office. JMO.
