the colours do look better, but frankly what trashy is wearing looks like she borrowed it from my granny and she has been dead dor 20 years. I find Akris rather yawn and unimaginative. expensive fabric for people who don't know how to dress and then chose the safe way. These things have been around forever. There is nothing new here.

Wonder wich flunkie created a skyblog for princess Whorelene. <3"
Makes me vomit.

Exctly! I agree with everything. I haven't posted in this thread since last December, because it so damn boring! All of her boring Akris outfits all look the - drab and BORING! The only amazing thing about Charlene's Akris wardrobe is the retail cost - INCREDIBLE EXPENSIVE! Seriously, Charlene doesn't walk outside her door without wearing at least $5000 on the most simple boring outfit. Any Akris jacket she wears costs at least $3000 and the dresses start at $3000 and the coats start at $4000. These prices are obscene and you have to be CRAZY to spend so much money to look so ordinary - hence why Charlene loves them so much. Actually, I think the main reason why Charlene wears Akris is because Albert Kriemler, the owner, sucks up to her big time. He comes to her - fly to Monaco constantly to plan and design her wardrobe. Do you think Armani flew to Monaco at Charlene beck and call? Hell no!

Would any of you pay $4,000 for this dress? With $4,000 I could have dressed several women at the Amber Fashion show, including shoes and purses (which Charlene's probably cost between $2000 - $4000) and they would have looked ten times better than Charlene. If you want to buy the boring drab dress that Charlene wore at the Amber Fashion Show on Friday, 25 May 2012, you can buy a green one at Neiman Marcus for $3,990.Akris Micro-Pleated Dress - SPRING 2012 RUNWAY.
Textural pleats and a bright green chiffon create the look of newly shorn grass. Pair this Spring-ready Akris dress with a by-the-yard necklace and leg-sculpting heel. • Look 39 of the Akris Spring 2012 runway. • Leaf (green) micro plisse, sheer chiffon. • Crew neckline; sleeveless. • Slim bodice falls straight. • Dropped waist. • A-line skirt falls past knee. • Snap button back. • Viscose/polyamide. • Made in Switzerland.

I don't know about you guys, but I just don't dream of looking like "newly shorn grass!" Heck, even the model doesn't look so sure about this dress in the first picture.. These clothes are terrible, terrible, atrocious! How can anyone in their right mind find these potato sacks even remotely attractive or flattering? Oh, wait..... )

i110.photobucket.com/albums/n103/tlims23/Untitled-3.jpg her's is probably more expensive because she had extra lining to change it from see through to dowdy housedress. I think women in the 50s used to wear thesekind of outfits around the house...according to Hollywood movies they did at least.

This $4000 dress looks like an average 1950's dowdy housecoat, except those house coats normally had belts which gave the dress some shapely form. On Charlene, this dress looks like a sack of potatoes. It is a riot that she keeps wearing these expensive housecoats mainly because she reads and believe the loonie toons crazy praises and she has surrounded herself with a team of flunkies who tells her only what she wants to hear. At least Lucy and Ethel rocked their potato sacks with a little french flair. Charlene's Akris dresses are more drab than an average potato sack.

Doesn't she get these clothes "gratis"? that's usually how it works when you've agreed to wear the clothes everywhere - it's in exchange for the PR. Obviously Akris is just plain desperate for free PR - I guess he thinks at least his name is getting out there and now some people will buy his things just because they don't know any better and a "Princess" is wearing them. Why else would she be wearing ONLY Akris? My guess is Armani realized she was doing his brand more harm than good. And I bet she gave him hell because her wedding dress didn't get the response from the press and people that she hoped it would!

Do you think that people with that kind of money would care about what trashy is wearing? With caro some years ago maybe, but then again she wore and wears mostly established designers, as seem to do most women with that financial backing. Or they follow a designer that used to work for a big label and starts his own business. they know the designer, the designers know their clients. Seems like a safe business. In my experience, most rich people do not like to waste money. If they spend a fortune on clothes then they want their moneys worth. With Akris they are not getting it. they are getting dowdy, boring clothes. There is nothing new or exciting about them.

With Akris they are not getting it. they are getting dowdy, boring clothes. There is nothing new or exciting about them. It depends on which people with that kind of money you are talking about. There are SO many people today with huge amounts of money that don't have A CLUE about "good taste and real quality", and some of the females who gravitate to the men with big bucks today are uneducated, low class, boarder line call girls - if not actual call girls - that I'd say yes - unfortunately, there are plenty of women who may look to someone like Trashy as a guide. Look at the Kardasians and all these Beverly Hills, Atlanta Housewife type people (and that's just in the US.) This lets find and follow the lowest common denominator "movement" seems to be world wide. It's just horrible! It used to be if a man went to a call girl type, for the most part -unless he was an Al Capone type - he'd move heaven and hell to make sure he was never seen with, or associated with her. No more!

I was thinking of the kind of clients Akris seems to want to attract. IMO he is aiming more at the Caroline type and not the Paris hiltons. These women, yes they have plenty of money at their disposal, but they are being paid to look available, not classy. And if they don't run anround like sidewalk birds, they fear that they will soon be disposed off. That's the look that got them the wallet, now they need to preserve the look, but for more money. The other type doesn't attract the kind of men theses women attract and they don't want to attract them either. Hence they dress differently.
And I agree, people used to marry one kind and have mistress in a different social environment. They"d make sure that the women they married wouldn't meet those they dated. Nowadays it seems to be a handmedown kind of dating-marrying. Honestly, who wants to constantly bump into their partners exes.....

Charlene has given his brand publicity no doubt. But, I really do feel that Albert Kriemler is over estimating the influence that Charlene will have on anyone else buying their brand. I read a rumor months ago about what happened with the relationship between Armani and Charlene. It seems that Charlene became very demanding with Armani. Armani was commissioned to design her outfits to William and Kate's wedding and arrogant Charlene did not like the designs. Charlene commissioned Akris (Albert Kriemler) three weeks before the wedding to design her outfits. Charlene stuck with him after the accolades she received about her wedding suit- with Charlene and her team of flunkies proclaiming her being the best dressed guest there. Honestly, Charlene and her team of flunkies were promoting Charlene all over the Internet from message boards, blogs to newspaper. Recall, Charlene made a point to be photographed to the Queen's dinner even though she as late. It seemed to me that Charlene had worked out a deal with Akris and being heavily promoted at Kate's wedding was a part of it. Seriously, Akris heavily monitors Charlene's press when she wears an Akris outfit. They google her all the time - I know because I've seen their google results linked to Royal Opinions.

Charlene really is like the Emperor in "The Emperor's New Clothes" "Aren´t I lovely?" "Yes, yes, Your Serene Highness, all other who deny that are full of shit!" "Ugh, tell Giorgio it sucks! I have to overshadow the bride!" "Bring me my Notebook, I have to write trash posts again!" That speaks for itself

pity they used Schloss Charlottenburg as a setting. The pink palace would have been more to the purpose I was wondering what palace that is - it is absolutly beautiful! I thought perhaps it was French. Thanks for the info Paca, I just googled Schloss Charlottenburg (also learned that "schloss" is the German word for palace) and understand now that it is the largest palace in Berlin. I am impressed, wowthis palace is gorgeous! But, you are correct, Albert's palace would have been the perfect palce to film this movie. For the sake of Monaco, if only Albert would surround himself with people who are willing to tell him that he has no clothes on. Instead,. he and now his wife are both prancing around Monaco naked making complete jackasses of themselves (and laughing stocks of the world trying to convince everyone how happy and in love they are) while the apathetic people of Monaco keep telling both of them how wonderful they are. Where are those children who tell the truth when you need them. Hey wait, one of the kids of the schools that Charlene visited did ask her when was she going to open that Starbucks. Perhaps, there is hope for Monaco after all.
