The photo kind of reminds me of one I saw in the 1980's of Carol Alt. It's an interesting photo of Charlotte. Her beautiful bone structure and mystery created by the eye make up makes this a really dramatic cover. I'd love to see the article they do with it. Thanks MyAdia for posting the photo.

Trampolina must be pea-green with envy that Charlotte, and not she, is on the September cover of Paris Vogue -- especially since she has been titled the "savior" of Monaco. Ha!!

Charlotte steals the limelight of Katewww.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2026381/Kate-Monaco-Royal-Charlotte-Casiraghi-steals-limelight-Duchess-Cambridge-graces-cover-Vogue.html#ixzz1V9QJmeWzAs the granddaughter of Grace Kelly and the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco, Charlotte Casiraghi was always going to be a beauty. But with her natural instinct for style, a budget for couture and a career as an equestrian showjumper, it seems she could really show Britain's young Royals a thing or two. Now the Monegasque Royal has scored one of the most prestigious coups in fashion - gracing the September issue cover of French Vogue. The 25-year-old is pictured with tousled hair and smoky eyes in the image by Mario Testino, while inside shots show her in an array of pieces by Chanel, Balmain, Isabel Marant and Gucci to name a few. Of course it is nothing new to see Miss Casiraghi in designer clothes - she is regularly spotted in the front row at Paris fashion week and appeared in Vanity Fair's Best Dressed list in 2006. Her competitive riding kit is designed for her by Gucci and she edits her very own eco fashion magazine, Ever Manifesto, which counts Stella McCartney among its fans. Her social circle is also deeply immersed in the industry. One of her gallery owner boyfriend Alex Dellal's sisters is behind the footwear label Charlotte Olympia, while the other is model Alice. Miss Casiraghi's cover marks a departure from French Vogue's usually edgy image, something that can no doubt be attributed to its new editor Emanuelle Alt, who succeeded Carine Roitfeld earlier this year. The shoot also cements photographer Mario Testino's position as Vogue's favourite photographer, having taken the cover pictures for its three most important international editions. In addition to Miss Casiraghi's cover, he shot Kate Moss for U.S. Vogue (and her wedding photographs inside), as well as Chanel face Freja Beha Erichsen who was a surprise choice for the cover of this month's British Vogue. The glossy hat trick is even more significant given that they are the September issues, the most important month of the year for the magazine industry as it marks the beginning of the new, most lucrative season. The only edition he is yet to shoot the cover of is Vogue Italia, as Steven Meisel has shot the title's past 329 covers. The magazine's editor, Franca Sozzani explained that it was so 'even if you took the word Italia off, you know what Vogue Italia is.' Mr Testino is of course no stranger to shooting royals. He was a favourite with Princess Diana and also took the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official engagement photos.

not a fan of the look ... but anything to detract from her ugly aunt-in-law, the better! Yes, and this is a really BIG spread too-- The September Issue, for crying out loud!!...lots of photos and different looks. She looks so young, fresh, and gorgeous. Fashionistas all over are gonna eat this up! There's no way Charlie can compete with this... not at all. She'd better try to get in good with the grannies and stay-at-home moms. ;D

I seems as if the PR department at the palace has a strategy currently in place. 1) Vanity Fair article that touts Charlene and friends of Monaco as the "best dressed" Andrea Dellal, mother of Alex Dellal. Alejandro Santo Domingo, half-brother of Tatiana Santo Domingo. Countess Matilde Bororomeo, half sister to Beatrice Borromeo and Princess Charlene. 2) Paris Vogue with Charlotte on the cover - glam glam 3) Gala Magazine with Pauline Ducruet on the cover. A sweet article.

Great Paris Match cover. Charlotte is all over the place. It looks to me like Charlene's time has come and gone for the magazine covers. There's nothing left to tell, end of story. However for the beautiful young things (Charlotte, Pauline, Andrea, Pierre, Louis) life is just beginning, and the press would much rather follow the young and beautiful. Charlene is now in a glass prison. No language skills, and told what to do. It's suddenly not so glamorous. Caroline's kids are the future. This is just the beginning. JMO.

Thanks Emmeline. On last week's cover, Paris Match only had an insert photo of Charlene at the Red Cross Ball. The glossies and tabloids (well mainly Paris Match, Bunte, Gala and Point de Vue) made a fool of Albert and Monaco telling him if her marry Charlene, she will bring glamour back to Monaco. The truth is Charlene doesn't appeal to the masses, she doesn't sell and she is neither glamorous, classy or elegant - all things that these mags promoted her as for six years. Albert had class and glamour in Monaco all the time but he instead chose to promote the vulgar Charlene as the face of Monaco just months as he took reign of his country. Albert lowered Monaco into the trash pile and now he is stuck with an expensive tranny looking wife who thinks that she can buy herself some class.

Charlene is only good for the scandals that will surely follow her. Paris Match only placed her in the insert for the last week for cover. They then only focused on the scandals - her striking Nicole from the guest list, buying her own home and moving into Rainier's office. Charlotte was always more appealing than Chalrene but Albert decided to promote Charlene as the flagship of Monaco early on.

Charlotte was always more appealing than Chalrene but Albert decided to promote Charlene as the flagship of Monaco early on. That's exactly right! There is no sparkle or youthfulness or glamor to the Charles... She doesn't radiate or attract attention just as herself, she needs lots of "work" to generate any interest. No one would take a double-look at her if she was just one of us normal folks. Charlotte on the other hand, has that sparkle... And so, without scandal or a baby bump, she's just gonna fade into the background except for photos at events. How can French magazines put her on the cover when everyone knows she can't even speak the language of the region (even though it's her home) --- kind of an insult to the citizens of that region.

Charlene's early life and success at qualifying for the Olympics made for a good story. The problem is the story ended there. Trying to fill in all the years of doing nothing by stringing out the Olympics is not an interesting life. Charlotte and Pauline still have long stories to write and the mystery of what they are or can be spikes interest, not to mention their fabulous good looks. What is there to say about Charlene? Even if she has a baby what is there to say? A few photo ops then what? The kid gets turned over to a nanny?JMO

But, of course, they are too dumb and narcissistic to realize that. Since the engagement i'm feeling sorry for the possible kid that might born from this union.

French Blogs are reporting some of Charlotte's comments from her Vogue interview. Charlotte is quite the opposite of her Narcissistic new aunt Princess Conlene who brags beforehand about the outfits that she will wear and how she will be the center of attention.
Charlotte Casiraghi: "I never try to be spectacular"
August 19, 2011
Charlotte Casiraghi is on the cover of the September issue of the magazine Vogue. For the occasion, the niece of Prince Albert II of Monaco confided in an interview. And despite her royal lineage, Charlotte understands that it must build its own course.
Charlotte Casiraghi royal blood in the veins and it shows. Its sense of style led her to the cover of the September issue of the magazine Vogue . She confided in an interview and the least we can say is that the young woman knows what she wants and does not use his royal lineage to succeed: "If I am aware of have the chance, I also know that we must fight. This is not what we inherit at the start makes a life. Life, it is built. And this is in fact is important," said Charlotte. The young woman also refutes the status of princess that many people give it wrongly: "I am not a princess. My mother is not me. I am the niece of a head of state and as such I have some duties of representation, no binding or very extraordinary."
About fashion, the face of Gucci remains modest: "I like the power of transformation that allows fashion. But it's not an obsession or a headache. Dress for me c is a way of honoring the people who invite me or my family. I never try to be spectacular. I want to be fair and respectful." If she can be modest, Charlotte still has an innate sense of fashion and each of his appearances triggered thunderous applause.
Daughter of Princess, a full head in a healthy body and a sense of style worked, Charlotte Casiraghi ... One can not help but crack!
