I downloaded this paper yesterday on the "New American Century" by a think tank that included John Bolton on its board, that I've yet to read because the gyst of it has been quite painfully obvious in the last few decades - it's about expansionism using American soldiers. Except today with an internally weak country; with the misguided idea of arming your enemies by sales of nukes; etc and you now have a frightening scenario in the offing for America whereby being overextended in foreign wars will leave the homebase vulnerable. Right this minute Trump is goading for a war, to save himself from the inevitable. Everyone has been so stoked by what is most likely a fabricated death of the American subcontractor in Iraq. I beg cooler heads to prevail and NOT give Trump a pretense to keep himself in power any longer. We here have got this. It's why Trump is desperate.

Trump is not happy interfering with state governors' Coronavirus orders for safety health equipment, he's now interfering internationally to intercept deliveries. Quebec's hospitals, which are running out in the next few days of face masks, saw their landed delivery be forwarded to Trump ally Mike de Vine's state of Ohio. I hope Quebec families of victims sue Trump. www.journaldemontreal.com/2020/04/03/des-masques-pour-le-quebec-detournes

The only "total" Trump is, is Trashy Trump, Trollop Trump, Traitor Trump, Trivial Trump, Thug Trump, Terrorist Trump, Tranny Trump... in case Biden needs adjectives.
Please, the day Trump asserts "total" power, someone will invoke a prime directive that predates any US constitution, from among natives, labour, outlaws, religious, royals and military.
Then tables could turn and maybe instead of Khashoggi, it would be Kushner. And where your administration's Williams reign supreme, there will be empty thrones. And maybe you could live like an Assange, why not.
Keep it in check. You're too fat for the highwire.

Trump is cutting funding to the WHO amid a pandemic which, in a normal world, should warrant sanctions by the international community for criminal neglect, reckless endangerment and interference with treatment by stealing medical and safety supplies.
In an age anyway where Trump wants to appear as generous as a sultan and is stamping his name on government relief cheques (paid by taxes and that will disappear in bank account overdrafts by users' lack of govt protection from banks), the administration is printing its own money anyway and the world might as well switch the dominant currency to the Yuan.

If China has too many face masks orders to fulfill (or wants to subcontract), an alternative is this US manufacturer who was snubbed by Trump: Trump could have sourced millions of masks locallyHere in Qc, we"re ready to buy gloves. Meanwhile, bravo to Philippe, Macron for declaring the Sanofi future vaccine a world public good. Frankly, I won't mind if someone else finds it first. Sanofi already made good money on hydroxichloroquine...

If anyone needed confirmation - still - that the White House and presidency were highjacked by a subversive cell, one only has to look now at the use of the US army AGAINST its own American civilians. I'm certain this violates conventions and no doubt American civilians need foreign intervention albeit symbolic. And if anyone doubts Trump's imperious motive, one only has to listen to his language qualifying rightful protesters as "anarchists".

If I didn't know better, I would think Stephen Miller is trying to have Trump killed. Shocking, I know. Stephen Miller is the adviser caught feeding white supremacist stories to Breitbart and other outlets. How his Indian or Pakistanese wife lets that slide at home must be an Olympic feat. I do hope she's better, after catching Covid-19. I trust she must be able to endure a lot. Having said that, Miller is also Trump's speechwriter and they've chosen the anniversary of an event called Juneteenth, in a city where whites destroyed the black Wall Street almost a century ago - Tulsa. Firstly, I don't quite get the obsession with plagiarizing anniversaries. It must be about trying to compost history by artificially planting an event on top of another one. It's lame by the way, and so obvious. Anyway. Bless their hearts.

When the Russian UN ambassador makes the most sense in a room: Where Iran should maybe alter its behaviour would be in recognition of precisely the international support it has received for the upcoming end of sanctions, if it wanted to be gracious and for the nuclear accord to resume for the sake of international friendships. That the US caused this so Trump could sell nuclear components, is widely known. We need to move on. The pandemic is not abating. We need to remove sanctions. We need to return refugees home, for economies to recover like in Lebanon. Israel needs to grow up and play nice. Yemenites need to catch their breath. Wars have to take a backseat to the wellbeing of people on the ground. www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/08/demands-restoration-sanctions-iran-200820185410971.html
