I can understand giving priority on the tarmac to royals first, but bussing world leaders together imo is a recipe for disaster - no offense to British law enforcement and intelligence. It was cute at the Jubilee but let's be serious. If I were less superstitious, I'd come out and say who's dream come true would be to have all these sitting ducks conveniently all in one place, especially in a time of war in Europe. Yyyeeah no.

A gloriously beautiful day again, as though HM's sunniness was there to soften people's loss. What an amazing postcard of Scotland in a way. It makes you want to visit, the architecture is so splendid as is the streets' configuration. Kudos to the royal siblings marching mostly uphill at a pace that allowed each person to view the hearse. It's wonderfully understated, because the occasion doesn't on one hand require anything more than who she was. On the other hand, the absence of the younger royals de-sensationalizes the moment. All in all it seems like a communal deep breath. I do hope the family is managing to get some rest.

Still surreal days on. I find it's a bit hectic for me, albeit moving at every step but I probably would have processed better at the pace of the train tour. The other day on my bikeride stop bench, instead of butterflies this time I got three silly French bulldog puppies. As pet-orphaned, it was a sweet moment. Anyhow, carrying on. 😢

Loved seeing Margaret's son there; the dishy Scotch Guard back, in kilt; the fact Camilla & Kate were spared Meghan; the Duke of Kent, such a Duracell 🐇; the sunny skies, etc. But, life is still going to suck. Gone, my bestie. Gone, the lone female power archetype that men had to defer to just for being who she was. Gone, that umbrella over girls the world over and that safety net.
